Confirmed with Link: PLD to the Kings for Iafallo, Vilardi, Kupari and a 2nd in 2024 (orig Mtl’s pick)

I can see Chevy maybe asking for Vilardi and Iafallo. And then adding Kupari as a bargaining chip that he was willing to let go of.
But to dare ask for all three PLUS a second round draft pick… and get all of it?! Even after all the delays he didn’t flinch.
That man has balls of steel!
I would not want to buy a used car from Chevy

LOL This guy:

Playing for LA was apparently his "dream come true".

was my thought too

I don't know why we would, he's the type of depth player we need in our bottom 6.

I don't get people who say 8.5x8 is an overpay contract-wise for Dubois.

The trade is what it is, but that's a solid contract. This isn't 2015 - salaries have skyrocketed, and people seem to be under the impression that you can get a top-six centre for 5 million nowadays.

Yeah 8.5 million is low end 1C money and that is what he is.

This is the Kings Brass after offering the trade.

Really liking the quantity of assets here. We got a solid young piece we can likely slot with Perfetti. Kupari is a tweener who will likely get a shot and might be able to run with it. Iafallo is like a Perreault replacent. Decent two way winger that can play up and down the lineup.

I've been saying it for a few days in different threads, but GM's haven't been able to overpay FA's for a few years with the cap being flat.

Just wait until Free Agency 2024. Will be f***ing ridiculous .

I've been wondering if the Jets now take a run at resigning Scheifele. The PLD trade was not a rebuild trade and frees up cap space. I think Helly is gone, but I wonder if Chevy takes a run at trying to sign Scheifele?
Agreed on Helle he has made his intentions known but has Scheifele said that he does not want to be here, I may be in the minority but I think he likes being a big fish in a small pond. Adding the players the Jets did could really benefit his play

I hope not. It's just a guess and I could be wrong but I have a feeling the stench on this team is partially his doing

It has been rumoured he wants out, but maybe he decides to stay? It sure doesn't seem like Chevy is out there shopping him.

There has been speculation on this, but I think the most unhappy camper has just been moved. If we are not going to be rebuilding why don't you try to hold onto a 42 goal scoring #1 center? Moving him for futures would seem to contradict what Chevy just did.

I feel the same way - and also could be wrong - but i don't think I am.
