Love this!!

I refused to post in that thread, mainly because I didn't want to go down the negativity rd.........knowing full well we are not a complete team yet, but the premise all season was to make progress, and well here we are.
Hell yeah! As far as I can tell, these are my contributions to the tank talk.

Who cares about the tank thread. It’s a thread mostly to turn a negative into a positive situation and vent about the Habs position (who was at the bottom of the standing for a couple of months). I’ll argue it helps keep the rest of the board more positive since the « negativity » is concentrated in this thread, which nobody is forced to read if they don’t want to. And for the most part it’s just filled with tank gif, prospect discussion and cheering for losses in hope of better picks.
lol I guess you don't go into many other threads then.

Cheering for losses is gross.

so magic number is 2 in the 8 games remaining between montreal and Columbus
Umm... sort of, but not really. Montreal could get 2 points from their last 4 games (if it's an OT/SO win or a pair of OT/SO losses), and still lose their playoff spot to Columbus.

Ah
So 3 is the magic number or regulation win
Montreal needs:

1 regulation win and they clinch.

1 ot/so win and columbus gets 4 wins, but one(or more) is in ot/so.

Habs and Cbus would be tied in points. Tied in regulation wins, but the habs would win the 3rd tie breaker in regulation/overtime wins assuming that's the 3rd tier breaker.

A combination of the habs gaining points/cbus missing out on points of 3.

im not booking playoffs with any certainty

This team hasnt played a full 60 minutes for a while
And to. Book the playoffs they don’t need to do that …. Tie two periods and win one is enough hahahaha
Or other simply Columbus lose tomorrow ….
And rangers det and islanders lose a point along the way
