I don't think it will really matter since there's not much hope for us beating Toronto..

Obviously the slam-dunk lines are
Tatar-Danault-Gallagher
Lehkonen-Evans-Byron

Who will likely play a lot against Matthews & Tavares lines.

It will be who plays the other wing with Toffoli-Suzuki and then what to do with Anderson, Caufield, KK, Staal, Perry.

If it was me, my bottom lines would be

Anderson-Suzuki-Toffoli
Perry-Kotkaniemi-Caufield

I would use the KK line purely as an exploitation line. Heavy o-zone starts and throw them out there every time one of their bottom 6 hits the ice.

I think there's a very good chance KK won't play in the playoffs. The Staal line won't be broken up for him if everyone's healthy.

Congratulations on Clinching a Playoff Spot. In the end, that’s all that matters.

It obviously wasn’t the way many of you wanted it to be, but then again, this year hasn’t gone the way many of us wanted either. Your Team has a ticket to the Dance.

There’s no shame in being excited about that, imho.

I’m very, very happy that you made it.

LOVE - wanted the win and a date with the OIL more. I believe we can take any TEAM in the north. Glad that players are coming back and hoping that “players on the puck” remain in the post season lineup!

Toffoli - Suzuki - Armia
Anderson - KK - Caufield
Tatar - Danault - Gallagher
Byron/Perry- Evans - Lehkonen

I hope like last playoff, the rest leading up to it helps him out. he was night and day different last year during the regular season versus in the playoffs.
They've managed to destroy him. Ever since they brought in that useless plug Staal, KK is the one who has paid the price.

Bergeron put it best, first they tell him to gain weight, then lose weight you're too slow, finish your checks, you're playing wing, you're playing centre, you're off the PP on and on. Just let the kid play. He wasn't doing bad at centre, he had started holding his own in the face off circle and was arguably our best forward for a little stretch. This is how you repay him?? They finally broke him.

I'm also concerned for Caufield. After potting 2 game winning goals, he's rewarded with the 2 slowest line mates that generate zero offence. How does that idiot Ducharme justify this. Wtf is going on??

End of rant

That said, I am happy we made the playoffs. Everyone is expecting us to get crushed so we have nothing to lose. Hopefully a few of the boys are back from injury and we can make a series out of it.

Another 10 years of Bergevin may be coming up soon... I don t hate the guy per se because it s just sports. I have been saying for years he is good at trades, bad at drafting and building a team but looking back actually none of these trades have actually paid off, so he is not even good at that...

Team makes the playoffs and nobody is that excited about it. Cant blame them. This team just looks brutal out there. Boring as hell too.

I guess Price wont be playing in the playoffs?

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised! Maybe we can set a precedent and be the first franchise to sign a GM to a lifetime contract.

It's also hard to tell what we have with the condensed schedule and the injuries.

The first round will give us definitive answers.

The first round will be over in 4

That sounds about right.

But let's see what happens on the ice with a fully healthy and rested team...and all the new acquisitions (Staal, Merrill, and Gus) in the stands..

Let's hope the Habs we see in the playoffs are the ones we saw at the beginning of the year. Then, we will have a chance. I do like the fact that whoever our opponent is, they will look down on us and that could lead to their downfall. I'd be the happiest if that happened to Toronto.

I wonder if the true face of the team was our recent 3 back to back wins were we camee back in those matches or if it's our more recent matches. Sometime I wonder if we are better than they have shown but fatigue has caught up to them.

I get the team is tired and missing some key players in Price, Weber, Gallagher and Deouin, but the reality is only Gallagher was useful.

Jake Evans deserve more ice time. Guy is stepping up big time.

Did the team not care once they got to ot ?

Can you be impressed and revolted at the same time? if not for the LEB line it would have been a real fiasco. Verry happy to see those 3 perform so well.

WTF was up with Toffoli? he skates likes he's wearing hi heels:confused:
