I'm not sure sure why some people dislike PK Subban. Great for the league. I hope he can lift the cup this year.

I think he's got a great second career as an analyst/commentator ahead of him after playing. Comes across as an intelligent, insightful, and funny guy. And some of the charity work he does is tremendous. That said, I've never been the guy's teammate, but he certainly doesn't seem to have been very popular in MTL's room -- you don't trade the guy unless there was some kind of problem there. His personality obviously rubs some people the wrong way.

True. Obviously there is something.

The Habs were expected to be a playoff team in 15-16, PK's last with the team. But they struggled all season long due to Price being out injured. So the normal meat grinder Montreal press pounded on the team. I can only imagine how miserable being in that locker room must have been that year, regardless of any issues between teammates. Throw in PK's personality and I'm sure there were issues, particularly with the coach. Price wasn't there to bail out PK's aggressive style of play. It led to Therrien getting more and more frustrated with PK.

Being a crappy or underperforming team can lead to disgruntled players and some drama in and of itself. Look no further than the 16-17 Sabres for an example. But trading PK was about as daft and short sighted as a GM could get. Bergiven built his team in a way that heavily relies on Price to be the best player most, if not every, night. Weber for PK does not in any way change that nor does it make the Habs better. The Habs GM siding with his coach was also part of the equation. Which as we know was not a smart decision.

Because he's a dink on the ice and very very good. It's not hard to dislike him.

When he's against the Sabres he is very easy to dislike. Just like any number of Sabres opponents. But the nonsense Subban gets outside of that is hard to fathom at times.

Sure but that could be for any number of reasons, some of which are completely legitimate, some of which are of the "no fun allowed" stick in the mud sort, and others which are best not discussed here.

Head count time ...

Preds or Pens?

Preds

Preds.

Subban possibly opens the scoring with a beauty of a shot.

I hate the offsides challenges. Forsberg's skate being an inch off the ice as he received the pass had no bearing on that goal happening.

What a ****** call. I mean come on.

If he has possession of the puck while he's onside (i.e. while that skate is on the ice), and maintains possession as he carries the puck in, it shouldn't matter when that back skate leaves the ice. That puck was on his stick before the skate was lifted.
