@penguins - Bonino on where his car is - "It's at a dealership. It shutdown on the way to the game. Great teammate Phil Kessel came and picked me up."

Phil Kessel Came To The Rescue After Nick Bonino’s Truck Broke Down - Cam Tucker - NHL.NBCSports.com - Sunday, May 21.

Your car breaks down? Need a lift? Who should you call? Well, if you’re Nick Bonino, it’s apparently best to call teammate Phil Kessel.

According to numerous reports, the story goes that while driving to PPG Paints Arena for Game 5 against the Ottawa Senators on Sunday, Bonino’s truck broke down.
No worries. Kessel reportedly came to the rescue with a roadside assist, picking Bonino up and getting him to the arena on time.

“It was weird. All of a sudden the gas didn’t work and the power steering went out in the middle of the highway. I was able to get it to the side,” Bonino told reporters.
"Great teammate Phil Kessel came and picked me up. I owe a lot to Phil tonight for being here, a great guy.”

The camaraderie of the vaunted HBK Line from a year ago still runs strong.
Bonino had a pair of assists and Kessel had a goal and an assist, as the Penguins dismantled the Senators 7-0 to take a 3-2 series lead.
The win push Pittsburgh within one victory of reaching the Stanley Cup Final.

Given the reports of emergency leg surgery for RyJo, my first guess was compartment syndrome.

That is scary, but it is something that has a good recovery rate as long as they catch it and operate in time.

Still wondering how much of Kesler's stick they were able to extract...

Love seeing the crowds and enthusiasm in Nashville. Could be a strong hockey market for a long time. No competition in the spring months.

The true test of any market is what the support is like during down years.

Most markets go nuts during deep playoff runs.

Acute compartment syndrome for RyJo. Serious. I had a player suffer from it last year, and I know one of my former players who played at UB (who Burg can speak more about) who I think suffered from it and was out for a long time.

When I was living in Pittsburgh during the tank years it was like hockey didn't even exist. You couldn't even give the tickets away to anyone. People cared more about the Pirates who were just as atrocious.

The playoffs bring a lot of new fans in though, and you know some of them at least will become lifers. That's how it happens. Especially the further Nashville goes, and if the team is exciting and competitive for a while.

I say this as someone who started watching during the co-cap years, and then struggled through the tank years with the rest of you.
