Well, at least tonight is Isles-Lightning, any outcome in regulation is pretty good for us.

I don't know what real upgrades out there available...SY might take a run at Andrew Peeke if the Bruins fall by the wayside and are looking to retool...that could free up Al-Jo to play with Mo...but a LHD to play with Mo might be better. Not sure SY is quite ready to push the chips in just yet..

The wings play them twice just before the TDL, one at home and the other is a stadium series game, wings already beat them in Columbus, so the wings own their destiny against the Blue Jackets....just keep playing f_____g hockey and winning as many games as they can. The wings have a very favourable RW record versus several other WC contenders.

On Dec 27th the Lightning had 10 points and 3 games in hand on the Wings. The Bruins were up 12 points on the Wings while the Wings had 2 games in hand. The resurgence under TMac is unreal.

That’s a wild stat. If I were a conspiracy theorist I’d say it’s like Bettman is doing everything he can to prevent the wings from getting an advantage.

There is no hockey team that’s so clean they get 1 or 0 penalties per game. These refs are trash.

Aren't we the least penalised team in the league? We had just 1 PP last 2 games, I can't remember any missed calls. The Canucks announcers complained that Copp interfered as DeBrincat scored, but I think it was the opposite.
I don't think we are disfavoured by the refs.
Our PP is great so the opponents don't want to take penalties, our PK is atrocious so we don't want to take penalties.

Ottawa is meaningless at the moment. They are real deal and both Sens and Wings are gonna to the playoffs.

I hope Sens will beat Tampa on their double-header twice on this week before the break.

Optimistically speaking, there'll be 3 play-off slots in contention between 5 teams.
