In Montreal, do people grow playoff beards and do their bosses at the job care?

Hockey is life in Canada, so I am curious

The majority of bosses love hockey, so people are allowed to grow a beard. Of course, there're a few of them who don't like it.

I used to when I was in college...then I did some digging and realized it was a tradition started and championed by the flyers and islanders. Now playoff time is the only part of the year I stay fully clean shaven...and my family hates it since we're pretty conservative muslims haha.

I already have a full beard, it looks good and all but it is a bit of a pain in the ass and depending on how far the Rangers go I might be looking like a swedish caveman

Last time I clean shaved was the night before Game 1.

My facial hair grows pretty quickly. In one week I'm rocking a pretty early beard. Hopefully I'm not shaving for a long time.

The only thing I do is clean up the neck and straighten out the top of my cheek bones because the hair grows a little wild up there. Cleaning the edges makes it work acceptable. Not like that was really a concern anyway, I work in the creative department of an ad agency.

Hey! I work at an ad agency too! Let's be friends!

Wait, maybe we already are :amazed:

Just kidding, my office doesn't have a creative department.

I've actually fallen into a tradition of shaving my head for the playoffs (along with my beard). Every time I do, the Rangers seem to win. They are now 7-0-0 in games that fall on days I shave everything. :)

Mine is still growing. I normally do a chin strap/mustache combo, but I've grown it out full.

My wife fell asleep before the game ended, so I texted her, "The beard lives to see another day!", so she'd see it first thing when she woke up.

I haven't shaved since the last game of the regular season. Neck and all, I refuse to touch any of it.

It's getting crazy...

I think I blew it on the Rangers against the Devils a couple years ago, I couldn't handle my Crosby and gave up. Not happening this year.

I'm not doing anything to it, but then again I have no pressure to. Working in a guitar store doesn't require you to shave.

That's where I run into issues... being a nurse, I'm supposed to look professional and I look more homeless now than anything. Got the moustache and goatee going but have let the neck and sides grow during this round. It looks like tiny dead hamsters have exploded on my cheeks. I'm just waiting for my boss to pull me aside.... Wonder if she'll understand if I just say "because it's the cup"

Shaved my beard and head the day we clinched a playoff spot. haven't touched it since. Its horrible and unruly but its the play offs and every buddy needs to know.
