Have a work function with senior management this afternoon and family coming in from Florida tonight, so I trimmed it.

If they drop this series, its on me. Upside is I sort of look like George Michael.

I think the former fits your posting style better, so I will go with that.

Whenever you post something angry, I am going to picture you wearing a purple smoking jacket and sporting a sinister goatee.

Not much to be angry about since game 4 vs. Pitt.

I shave once before the series starts. No matter how the team is doing, have kept the beard until right before the next series.

I hope I get the chance to continue this tradition one more time this season.

My brother stopped over earlier, soon as he saw me,he started chanting...YES!YES!YES!YES!

Think I need a shave,badly

Shaved mine before Game 5 in the Pit series, because after awhile it just bugs the **** out of me. Shaved it again today. I'm not sayin' my beard hairs being shaved off was the reason we came back against Pit, but I mean I'm pretty sure it was.

I have a complete inability to grow facial hair, it all goes to my damn neck.

I also work out a lot, and beards are horrible when your face is constantly sweating.

So, not really :p.

Any updates? I haven't touched the moustache or goatee but I've been shaving the sides and my neck in between rounds. Probably not best for business if I look homeless as a nurse. Plus it didn't really grow on my cheeks so it just looks awful. But the rest of it is glorious.

I usually have a chin strap and goatee. I had been growing it out into a bull beard (though my cheeks are always patchy). Anyway, it was starting to get bushy and my wife made me shave. I didn't mention it until now because I pulled out the trimmer literally as Montreal was going up 2-1 in Game 5. I was afraid I ****ed us over, so I stayed silent.

The Islanders did it so Mark Messier implored the Rangers not to do it. That's good enough for me. 1994 Rangers clean shaven -- except for Glenn Anderson

This !!!!!!!!!!! + 1,000,000

If any team in the NHL should be going against the grain with the playoff beards, it should be the New York Rangers. Since their arch rivals, the New York Islanders were the team who started the tradition, Mark Messier had it right..........No playoff beards as a member of the New York Rangers.
