still waiting for the actual playoffs and more consensus. I'm just playing around trying to get ideas. I was going to sit this round out after not photoshopping hardly anything for the last 6-7 years with new job but after playing with my test ones, something moved.

Try it this way - see if it helps. You're saving as locally then clicking the edit and select file right?
