I don't want to use the word fluke in the event they crash and burn in the 1st round. I'd prefer to either highlight one of the amazing stats they accomplished on the run or one of the negatives that is said about the run, team and/or specific players straight into a shot of the Cup being hoisted with "meh" just jumping out.

I like it. I think it works much better when using the amazing stats. It doesn't work as well with the negatives in my opinion. We would need something to tie it into this years playoffs I think, or else we're just talking about last year. That goes for the fluke idea too, keeping it relevant to this year.

It's an interesting concept, but MEH sounds like we don't care.

A "fluke" theme is a way to acknowledge how wrong all the haters are/were as this team (hopefully) goes deep in the playoffs.
 
I'd love a theme where we take one of these 20 Stanley Cup moments from Kings Vision and turn it into an avatar somehow.
 
Maybe an "If Only..." theme for all our detractors who tried to undermine every win?

If Only Pietranglo was playing...
If Only Kesler wasn't playing hurt...
If Only the Kings faced more opposition...
If Only the Refs Weren't Wearing Kings Uniforms...
If Only...


I would love it if we could sneak, "What Did You See??" at the end of all of that. I think it would combine quite well and ask for other ridiculous excuses as to why the Kings were able to trample everybody. It would make sense to other fans and be an inside joke for us.

If only the Kings had more difficult matchups.

You know... as if the 1, 2, and 3 seeds, followed by the East champion weren't difficult enough.

why would we promote our stanley cup run being branded a fluke? i mean what better evidence than the fans of that team sorta acknowledging it themselves. there hasnt been a more dominating cup run in years.
 
I am not good at this so I am not necessarily "submitting" these as our idea. I just got bored.

And I have a fondness for our PGT inside jokes.

Really like this. One with Brown raising the Cup with that #notacaptain hashtag would be excellent.

The only thing I'll chime in is to make sure whatever you put in theme won't be trolling other fans when you head out onto the main board. We won't want the playoff discussion to be about what's in your avatar, but what's happening in the games. Okay I said what I had to say ;)

IF you have to explain it to them ... it's a poor idea.

We could also go for a more serious approach with the twitter ones. Have a Kopitar one with a hashtag that says "Kopi" or something similar.
