Players who are low key cooked

Most players named here are well known to be on their last legs. I agree with the Domi one though and that he’s been cooking for a while but escaping criticism. Not just the stats, just watch the guy play. Him always being a bone head has never helped. Such a frustrating player to watch with his decision making for almost everything.

matthew tkachuk isn’t cooked but could be going on the grill sooner then expected since players like him, especially not exactly being fast, tend to fall off a cliff late 20.

Saw a Hawks game recently and Taylor Hall is a shell of himself. You really could make this blackhawks thread as their roster is a bbq.

Backlund is slowing down.

Rooney was decent last year and started okay this year, but the last while he's fallen off a cliff and last night we saw Clark Bishop called up and replace him as the 4C... I suspect he gets waived and demoted when Zary returns.

Hoping it isn't true for Demko and this is just rock bottom. But he may be a candidate.. but look at Gibson who is top 10 in save percentage right now. Goalies are voodoo.

Derek Ryan may be done and I hope not. As an Oiler fan it is so nice to have that be our most cooked player. I don't agree with the RNH take but do agree he's not playing great but he's still a top line player and key guy for the team and his cap ain't bad. 50 point pace and 19 TOI on a contender isn't bad!

Starting to think Jan Rutta won't be in the NHL next season.

Filip Chytil is one hit away from LTIRetirement and it drives me crazy.

Vrana may be done.

Palat gets good linemates and opportunities but I'm not sure he's ever been 100% in NJ.

Any of the penguins “big four” minus Crosby. (Letang, Karlson, Malkin).

Krieder looks cooked as well.

at least Kreider is still on pace for 30 goals this season. PP specialists still have jobs in the NHL. Zibanejad, on the otherhand, is done for.

the guy broke his leg less than 2 months ago.. had plenty of jump before that and was leading the league in goals at the time of his injury. dumb comment.

Goals Per Game
1.Leon Draisaitl • EDM 0.73
2.Alex Ovechkin • WSH 0.69
3.Kirill Kaprizov • MIN 0.68
4.Brayden Point • TBL 0.66
5.Patrik Laine • MTL 0.63
6.Auston Matthews • TOR 0.59
7.William Nylander • TOR 0.57
Sam Reinhart • FLA 0.57
9.Mark Scheifele • WPG 0.55
10.Jake Guentzel • TBL 0.53
Adrian Kempe • LAK 0.53
Ovechkin was shit in the playoffs last year, epic bad and completely cooked but now gets to play to his few remaining strengths tailor-made.

32 is a old Hockey Player. Always gonna be.

Backlund, Markstrom, Tanev, Kadri, Coleman, just in the last year. They honestly haven't dropped off at all yet. Backlund I figured it was coming but so far so good.

Then Gio just being a beaut until he was like 37.

Would have to go back to Frolik or Wideman before I remember anyone falling off a cliff from age.

I considered saying Rooney, but IDK if someone who has been tweener/4th line his entire life qualified.

However, I will further expand on why I too think he's a candidate. He has periods where he's passable and looks like he has extra in the tank. Then he'll follow that up with some of the most head scratching breakdowns to his game I've ever seen. Like the dude will literally play well in a certain manner, then suddenly for a few games play differently. And not just stylistically differently, like inexplicably turn his back on the play in the O zone or D zone and then just get completely lost in a corner for a few seconds. Like please replace batteries/charge your controller controller disconnected/reconnected flickering type of stuff.

It'll be a situation like he'll be in a perfect position to drive the net and wait on the far side for a tap in. But instead he'll suddenly turn towards the corner (turning his back to the puck in the process), skate out towards the blue line, then after 2-4 seconds ish turn back around to face the net to look for the puck to see if he can re-engage in the play. It's just mind bogglingly bizarre and I've never seen someone do that before in a manner that doesn't seem like it's intentionally quitting on the team. He occasionally legitimately seems like his game processing is lagging and then resetting.

It's pretty common for RNH to alternate from decent 5v5 to horrible 5v5 production from season to season through his career.

He is still playing well outside of 5v5 scoring so saying he is cooked is pretty premature.
His scoring at 5v5 is at a worse rate than Derek Ryan’s was. He’s been a complete ghost stapled to the best player in the world. This isn’t the NFL, there are no special teams only players

Demko is high key cooked after his countless surgeries
To be fair, each time he recovers from surgery, I imagine he gets some game shape but there's still some time to come before he catches up to where he was before.

If you can manage to stay healthy for a year or two, I imagine he can get his game back. He's still quite young.

Vladimir Tarasenko hasn’t looked good at all. Thought he would be an upgrade on Perron but he just looks like he’s at AHL speed

Zuccarello is a complete passenger outside of one game a month where he looks like his old self again
