Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Jonas just refuses to change his opinion on Liljegren.
He said you could trade him and ++ for Horvat.
Mirtle responded Leafs aren't trading Liljegren for a rental.

I just listened to that part now and was going to post here lol. Not sure what Jonas was thinking. He's acting as if Liljegren doesn't play a huge role for this team

Ya that was bad. Jonas sounded clueless about Liljegren and I find normally he has a decent grasp on most players.

Ah, Toronto media. Complain for years about not having a young right shot defenseman and postulating that we’d need to trade one of the core forwards for one, and then when the organization does draft and develop a RD try to ship him out asap for a rental. 
Timmins has been impressive but the idea that he’s made Liljegren expendable is a joke.

Leafs best defense 6 in the last 40 years was lead by Dave Elliot and was exactly that.

Jonas has an awful grasp of cap/asset management. He's pretty much always saying to trade all our top picks/prospects/young players for rentals, during the Matthews/Marner contract negotiations didn't think there was any problem paying them as much as we did on only 5-6 year deals, etc.
He's a big basketball guy, and I think he's influenced too much by how a few star players can drive massive success in that league, where max contracts are handed out like candy, etc. In the NHL, depth is very important to playoff success, and you can be an awful/mediocre team even if you have few of the best players in the world (eg Edmonton at times during the McDavid era).
While Timmins has added to depth, it is obvious that he is not premium defencemen. I would rank him # 8 on the depth chartI just listened to that part now and was going to post here lol. Not sure what Jonas was thinking. He's acting as if Liljegren doesn't play a huge role for this team

I'm no doctor but I can only go by what I saw last night, I think he kinda saw the shot coming a bit, he looked like he was bracing for it, obviously it still sucks taking a shot where he did.
I don't think concussion, maybe precaution?

Agreed. I think Timmins can definitely grow into a reliable 3rd pair RD who could also play PP2 given his puck moving skills. Can't wait to see our next trade with the Coyotes.

I haven’t heard. We are hopeful. It looked like he just got a puck to the face and was a little bit stunned by that. I am not sure if there is any damage in terms of a cut or anything, but he was having to go through the proper protocols
