Anyone have a running tab on how many of his teams goals Boeser has been in on? Seems to me he has been involved in every goal except 2 or 3.

Found it. 10 points on his teams 18 goals. 55% of his teams goals. Mighty impressive.

Boeser has 10 points in 4 games. I think it's ok to get excited about him now

I was excited about him last year.

But .. there is literally nothing he can prove at this level. It's a waste of his time. I would never question his decision because it's his life but until he gets some experience playing against men it's going to be hard for me to get too excited.

It's a good challenge for him this year. The season, he is a leader and looked upon for success by his teammates. As a freshman or rookie, you go in without expectations and just do what you can do. As a player who other players look up to, you learn things about responsibility, leadership, and develop the skill sets to put a team on your shoulders.

I would say that this year in North Dakota will be an absolute game changer for Brock.

I disagree, I think there is still plenty to learn at this level for Boeser. Last year I felt he was talented but he relied on his teammates a little too often when he was cold. Now, Boeser is developing that drive where he has to be a leader on the ice.

What impressed me this game is that in the 1st period he was kind of coasting. Still good, but nothing really "outstanding". But as soon as the team went down 2-0, he just turned himself up to overdrive. He completely took over the game. That's a skill that I rarely see from other prospects. It's something that is so valuable, people will legitimately pay these players more tehn they are worth just to ensure they stay on their team (Toews, Kesler).

I think that's what sets a good player apart from a star. The ability to just completely take over the game if needed. I didn't really see that much of that in Boeser last year, sure there were flashes of it in the NCAA championship. But right now he's in a prime position to develop the skills needed to drive offense.

Waste of time? Was excited last year but not now. He is 19 and playing at a much higher level than major junior and dominating. He was not part of he leadership group last year now with Drake C. stecher and the Chicago guy in the pros he is. This is a big development. There will be spots open next year this year I do not know where he would be playing. North Dakota is likely better than Utica and the skybox in Vancouver for development. Our 3 highest ceiling prospects are all out of the Nhl at the moment.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the UND hockey commentator and colour guy are sweet

I didn't say I wasn't excited now. Just not much more than I was last year and not too excited. Forgive me for being a bit jaded about Canuck prospects after a life time of following them.

If Boeser isn't on the Canucks next year it's a problem.

I don't think it's a waste of time. He's not ready for the NHL and there are plenty of players who spent 2 NCCA seasons who needed very little time in the AHL. It's a pretty safe route to take for a 19 year old NCAA prospect.

I hope that if the stars align and the Canucks make the playoffs and UND's season is over that they don't hesitate to bring bring Brock on board.

I totally get the excitement but with Brock I want to take my time, let it happen naturally

This guy might be the most offensively talented player since Naslund......

side note, it still hurts not getting Caggulia

Yeah I wish we could have nabbed Drake too. It's unfortunate that it seems like he's already dealing with a concussion.

You lost me with the Toews/Kelser comparison.

Don't get me wrong... I got your point but Kesler ='s Toews?

Here's the other thing... Boeser, Toews. oe ='s On ice Exceptionalism.
