I think people (me included) are too hung up on Bennett because he was our only offensive prospect for a very long time and we really want him succeed in the NHL, that said if you can exchange him for someone like Kane you do it.

Sure, but I am saying Kane, right now, is not worth us giving up 3 players that are 1st round picks for. I think if the deal is simply Bennett + a lesser piece because the Jets want to move in a different direction, that is one thing. if its Bennett + Sutter+ Doumulin or a 1st in 16, well then we are probably overpaying for a guy whose value isn't as high as that haul probably could get us elsewhere

People must think Adams was a Pen lifer or something.

Hatred for the guy shouldn't be this out of mind.

Yes it should. He is the poster child for what is wrong with organization. It's like a poorly run family business filled with nepotism over production. Successful now due to luck, but you just know it's about to crash and end badly.

For reference, Craig Adams has been healthy scratched roughly 180 times in his 9 season with Carolina and Chicago. With a bulk of them (78) coming in his first two years in the league.

He's been healthy scratched roughly 6 times in 7 seasons with Pittsburgh in his declining years.

So after his first two years, he was healthy scratched 102 times until coming to the Pens? Roughly 14 times a season.

And now he hasn't been healthy scratched in five years, correct?

Just like a fine wine. Only gets better with age. He'll be even better once he reaches 50 and is a mainstay on the 2nd line.

I could be off on my non-healthy scratch numbers a bit... He had 2 suspensions for 12 games (10 and 2 games); Reported injuries of 4 games with a sternum injury and 5 games with a wrist; His minor league demotions count for 39 games (4 for IHL Cincy and two stints of 22 and 13 with Lowell).

With the Pens he has missed 11 games, 5 this year with injury and looks to be 6ish healthy scratches (2 in 10/11 and 4- I think- in 08/09 after first acquired.

Wow that's even more pathetic when you see it in writing.

As an NHL goalie or a fwiend?

I don't know. Considering how all these media guys act, they're more concerned with maintaining friendships than anything else.

But in this case, they think Fleury is the best goalie in the League.

It just shows you that they don't watch hockey outside of Pittsburgh.

That's a spin off of MMs "Carey Price - what has he ever won?" schtick.
I guess we'd start w the gold medal....
