Habs were due for a letdown game. I figured this would the be the game do it. LOUSY period. Awful goals against. Better get going in the 2nd.

Galchenyuk and Sekac were good. Everyone else sucked.

Honest question and I'm not saying this cause he had a bad period but: Was I the only one who has impressed with Tinordi more than Beaulieu?

I don't think we're gonna lose this game, cause we see some guys really want it. We're good offensively but quite confused defensively.

The pens have great 1st period numbers (20-something goals) vs habs (7 goals). The game begins next period.

And I love Sekac.

Galchy does it all but too often he gets shaky when it matters the most (a few feet away from the net, a shot or a pass away from a goal).

Well on the bright side the Leafs are down 3-0 in the first to Nashville

This game is far from over folks. Pittsburgh still has MAF as their goalie, just need to limit the ice time of the top line because they're killing the team tonight.

They didn't even play that bad just brutal turnovers.

I find it ridiculous you have Beaulieu at forward and barely playing the last few games then you throw him back against the Pens with Crosby and Malkin when his confidence has already been shattered.

I don't agree that Chucky is playing well. He's making very poor decisions. Sekac was our best forward.

And we miss Weaver. Beaulieu is having an awful game LOL.

A few shifts ago DD was standing behind the goal line waiting for a puck while it was leaving the pens zone. He just stood there, looked like he even leaned up against the glass to take a break while the Pens headed up ice. WTF is that?

Bad conditioning... Seven games on the bench!? :sarcasm:

Good, that was one of the worst period of hockey from a single player that I have seen in a while.
I can understand benching a guy from time to time but MT makes a habit of it. The kid is playing 6 mins a night and when he ****s up (as he did) then sometimes you let him work through it.

MT knows only one tool with certain players - the hammer. And he employs it arbitrarily. It's ****ing dumb.

That doesn't make sense.

He said Desharnais is blocking Galchenyuk. I said no, the fact that we have no LWers is why Galchenyuk isn't close to moving to centre.

What to do with DD if he's not getting the soft minutes he get right now, is a much bigger problem than the lack of LWs.

So yeah, DD is in the way.

Excellent point. It's like setting a player up for failure.

Beaulieu should really be dealt before other teams realize how dumb he is.

So impressed with Sekac.. really want him to get a goal today!
His nifty shoulder drop, speed, and net-drive is awesome to watch.

Chuckie made one dangerous play at the line but other than that I found him more engaged than most of the team, he's heavily pursuing the puck and he's hitting. Just having a hard time sustaining some pressure

Nope Tinordi was playing very good when he was sent down...he was getting into a groove and MT stepped in and sat him out like he always does when a young player is progressing.

Sekac rushing to the net, creating a chance and a faceoff. MT puts DD line in the Offensive zone. DD loses the faceoff and the line creates nothing...repeat.
