Broz is 21. I think they should sign him and get him AHL playing time next season. He's still a work in progress, but I'd rather him get attention at WBS.

Dunno I agree on that. Career progression wise, I feel like more time honing his skills with less pressure is arguably better.

If the Pens like him it makes sense to offer him a contract and not risk him becoming a FA at the end of his fourth year though.

I'm firmly in the go back and dominate your final season even if you run the risk of him becoming a FA. The AHL is a big step up.

He should go back- I really think you only sign him if you think he’s a flight risk.

How many years do you guys think Pens will let Joel Blomqvist do his thing in the AHL?... Looks to be having a great season statistically in the AHL this year

It's a Penguins thing, you could only get called up after you've turned 26 it seems

Jokes aside, he just turned 22. I think it all depends on what happens with Neds. If he get's traded here, they might make him finish the season here and see if he is ready to challenge for a backup spot next year. Have a 22 year old goalie here on a terrible roster might not be what's best for his development.

Poulin and Smith are the other 2 that better get called up here going forward assuming players are being traded

I don't see him getting thrown into the NHL next year.

I imagine they sign a one or two year deal and then bring him up.

Also would not shock me to see them trade him this offseason or at the deadline.

Had no idea but Hallander quietly having a very good session with 33 points in 48 games in the SHL- which leads his team. Wonder if you can get him back over. If not he’s probably decent trade sweetener.

Pretty poor management of a high-ish pick from the Pens.

Who you ya’ll liking with our 5-10 pick?

Looks like a real mix of players in many ways- F, D, some Russians still in the MHL, college kids unlikely to sign for a bit and some others that might be NHL-ready right away.

If we don’t win the lottery and select Celebrini, I’d be trading the pick to SJ…we’ll be way worse next year lol
