No offense but.....how can an 18 year old "rookie" be "due".......ANYTHING? There is nothing in his past and rookies cannot be counted on for anything. So......I guess you are saying that in regard to the hockey law of averages.

Btw, I think Panarin is "due" for a hat trick.

One would have thought with Mika going down, we would have been in perfect position for quite the tailspin. Not that we have been playing the patsies of the league either, but somehow this team has risen to the occasion. Thing is......(and you heard it here first) when Mika DOES come back......EXPECT the losses to come, as everyone will "exhale" and lessen their play as their "money player is back", so we dont have to do as much. Thats what my gut tells me.

I don't know, all his fancy stats look good, but he's only played a few games and I mostly just look at these rated lineups for fun. Maybe they're still using his rating from last year or they factor in previous seasons, Idk. I wouldn't take them too literally. This is how they calculate it: NHL Player Ratings Explained - Corsica Hockey

Another important consideration is how to curb results obtained in small samples such that they do not put forth an unfair representation of a player’s ability. Our solution is to regress a player’s metrics towards a known average in cases where they have not yet exceeded an arbitrary Games Played threshold.

I have a bad feeling about this game for some reason, like 7-1-loss-bad-feeling.

In the wacky world of the NHL and what IS supposed to happen and what ISN'T, and couple that with NBC's LOVE for the Pens........ well I will go out on the ledge and say that the Rangers will make a huge turnabout on the Penguins domination "for this night only". We will NOT take them for granted without our nemesis opponents, and that should in itself make this a home win..providing we are pissed that we lost that last game.

Rangers 6, Penguins 2. 3 PPG's. Fox, Lemieux and Panarin
