That first line I’ve been banging on this drum for a week or so but the points they’re putting up are covering up that they are getting destroyed nightly. We are in survival mode right now without Mika. Need him back soon this isn’t sustainable. Strome and Fast are bottom 6 guys along with HAJek most shifts against top players in the world leaves Trouba and Panarin in No mans land on the analytics charts

Yes, he's slightly lucky (he's on pace for 98 points and his career high is 87) but he's a good enough scorer to outpace his expected numbers consistently.

Panarin has come as advertised. Loving Fox and DeAngelo’s offense contribution but they need to cover better. They will get better with that. Have a little concern with Trouba but I still am ok. I mean we are scoring goals ( 7th in the league, tied with TB) but giving up too many.

Selfishly wanted to see Mika get close to a 100 this year after the amazing start he had but most important thing he comes back healthy from whatever he has. We definitely miss his all around game and presence on the ice
 
There was talk about Panarin after the Carolina game. How he seems to be one of the top 3 forwards in the game. And how we should enjoy it while it lasts. I couldn't agree more. In fact, he is probably our best pickup since Jagr. Gaborik also had a great impact when coming here. Panarin, just like those two, is very noticeable and dangerous each and every shift. He shouldn't even be considered in the 3 star post game vote. We should make him an honorary member, and vote for the other two stars.

Tonight he matches up with Crybaby. I have no doubt he will rise to the occasion. The entire team will give the Pens all they can handle. They will bounce back from the shootout vs FLA.

I thought at beginning of season if he was stuck with those line mates he would struggle to score more than 10-15 points so 9 seems pretty darn close. After 14,15 games I would take the under
