So, how do we know it's not a concussion?
Cause Quinn said it wasn't. I recall it was some kind of neck injury. They are just being careful. He's been skating for awhile with the team. Couldn't do that with a concussion.

I thought at beginning of season if he was stuck with those line mates he would struggle to score more than 10-15 points so 9 seems pretty darn close. After 14,15 games I would take the under

The last time NYR had a forward play 65+ games and fail to hit 10 points was Tanner Glass.

Bad linemates or no, he should still be able to be doing better than that. Pretty much only goon forwards survive those kinds of numbers. Halpern had 1 point in 30 games before NYR ejected him into space on an octagon.

PP needs to keep rolling. pitts PK is very good tho.

bend but dont break 5v5 and score 2 on the PP. PK well against a very poor pitts PP.

Georgie needs to be sharp. he usually is.

score 2 PP and 2 5v5. give up only 2.

thats the ticket to a win tonight.

4-2 win

@Edge had some info in the Zbad thread I believe

@chosen

We frankly don't know 100 percent for sure.

I have to tread somewhat carefully on this, but the working belief of many people inside and outside of the organization is that the injury was a combination of a severe blow to his sternum/ribs, and whiplash to his neck. Those reports have not deviated, though there is some uncertainty of the severity.

Concussions are obviously devastating injuries; but I think it can be somewhat easy to overlook other very significant injuries, that don't include a traumatic brain injury, that keep players out for longer periods of time.

So a combo of the 2 things I said he’s most likely suffering from?

I should become a professional injury identifier guy

Expect big time games from Ken Wregget, Rico Fata, Pascal Dupuis, Jaromir Jagr, Marty Straka, Petr Nedved, Alex Kovalev, Luc Robitaille, and Tom Barrasso.
lol @ Rico Fata. Might as well throw Marc-Andre Fleury in here since the Pens started playing him when he was basically still a fetus.

My confusion came from a few fans definitively stating that it was not a concussion.

remember that time we played Pittsburgh in the playoffs and Chris Drury got high sticked in the nose and bled and nothing was called, so out of frustration, he crosschecked someone and was called for it? i think about that sometimes...

excited to actually sit down and watch a game for once.

Yet in the end, his weekend was not ruined.
