People really think the Kunitz goal was weak on Hank? A wide open look from five feet out by one of the best shooters in the game? On a bang-bang play?

Jesus ****ing christ, our fans are morons.

Well, down 3-2 after scoring a big goal, like I said, it's asking a lot but we need him to stand on his head to advance. We can't just excuse every goal because the other team made a good play, or because our D broke down. Most goals are scored in this league because someone ****ed up on the ice. Our team is built, whether we like it or not, where we need Hank to stand on his head, make that save, and keep it a 3-2 game. He didn't. Technically speaking you're right, although I don't think Kunitz is one of the best shooters in the game. He was all alone with a quick snipe. Not really his fault. But from the team's perspective, Hank needs to make that stop. Did any of that make sense lol

This is how I'll be watching the game on Friday. Because I always enjoy a good horror movie.

Not all fans, but many here unfortunately.

It's the same old **** though isn't it.

Can't blame Hank on that one but at the same time, he didn't make the big save.

He knows that Kunitz is parked in the slot. Malkin circling wide. Odds are the puck is coming to the slot. Hank's got half his ass behind the goal line when Kunitz lets it go.

So, not necessarily Hanks fault, but he didn't put himself in a position to make the big save.

FWIW, MSL was ****ing brain dead there.

The truth is that if they outworked, outhit, outhustled and outchanced the Pens, not a soul would be booing.

Blame the schedule all you want, but they clearly have no desire to do the little things to win.

Winning takes effort. The Rangers are feeling sorry for themselves.

Agreed and dont forget they really aren't an elite team upfront . Honestly they are probably average upfront. They need their defense and henrik to be superstars every night in playoffs. Just can't happen

Are you including the one where MSL left his man in front of the net alone. Yeah, that's a weak goal.

Tell us again how fine MSL has been in the playoffs. That is my favorite current fairy tale.

He had a good series against Philly. Or maybe you missed it. He's been bad in this series. I don't know what's worse. Your logic or your agenda.

Considering they put Chicago on Sunday afternoon, I don't honestly think the Rangers drive the ratings as much as we might think they do.

There is also no feasible motive for NBC to deliberately hurt the Rangers' chances. The broadcast team may get erections from watching Crosby, but any scheduling influence the NBC may have lies with the marketing guys.

I severely doubt that Pens-Bruins generates a significant enough higher amount of views that New York - Boston for them to try to influence the outcome.

The Penguins are an elite team lol that's asinine. They're about to be in the final four and have been to the ECF a few times recently and have arguably the two best players in the world.

But they have a nutcase in goal, so it evens out.

I understand the reluctance. They have elite pieces but are a very flawed team.

He hasn't been bad in this series, he has been absolutely awful and a net-negative. He has been directly responsible for several goals against, and hasn't generated so much as a good scoring chance.

Fine, he had a good first four games against Philly. We would've been better off with him benched this series. That's nauseating from a future HOFer, the reigning Art Ross winner, and one of the better playoff performers of this generation.

No.

Especially because Lundqvist stood on his head when it was 3-1 and, most importantly, this team had no business whatsoever winning this game.

5 goals in 4 games, and Lundqvist is a target. You're all nuts with this argument.

The NHL is trying to sell its individual players. Crosby-Malkin going deep is good for the NHL. New York is the biggest market in probably the world. So yeah, I think the NHL would be fine with either team advancing from a marketing perspective.

I dont think one has to do with the other. We wouldn't criticize if they weren't bad goals. We'd be losing either way, but at least one dude would be stepping up.

This. I don't understand why the response to Lundqvist giving up bad goals is "It didn't even matter we've scored 2 goals the last 3 games!" So what? That's unrelated. If he was giving up 3-4 goals a game on plays he had no chance on it's a completely different story than it is.

Quick would make that save. Quick is better.

I'm so glad we got Pitt instead of Cbus, better matchup:sarcasm:, on the bright side Sather can waste our first rounder on another stiff.
