Pens have jumped the shark. Re-tooling is futile.
No the ownership doesn’t believe they need a full rebuild Sulivan is the coach he isn’t going t play young guys. The players had to win 2 games against non playoff teams to get into the playoff they will run it back

I think the Pens fans need to accept that the Pens do not have another cup run in them. Now is the time to recoup significant assets (picks / prospects).
There are a few No-Move clauses to work around but there are some interesting players on expiring contracts who could be moved at the 2024 trade deadline - like Guentzel and DeSmith. Maybe if they see the handwriting on the wall some of the players with NMCs will waive.

It’s not the fans that has to accept it. Its the ownership whose goal is to try. They wanted to extend the play off streak so they didn’t move Dumo Zucker for any future picks. The coach doesn’t play young players cause they make mistakes

Moving it for either a goaltender or a LD that can play behind or above Pettersson.

Would Calgary be willing to do something around Hanifin + Markstrom for Ty Smith, the 1st, and small cap dump like Ruhwedel or Friedman?

Would Nashville or Winnipeg move Helle or Saros for a package involving it?
Pitt having so many vets, they might as add for a run next year

Why would Pittsburgh trade it's 1st round pick after missing the playoffs? They're better off keeping it and using it to help start the process of building a new future.
Because 75% of the pens board is Nucking Futs & think that once Sullivan is fired they will win the SC again

I'd be ok with that if that's what Crosby/Malkin wanted. But they want to retire as penguins and Fenway wants them to retire as penguins as well. So that's that.

Because Tampa is desperate as are the Oilers in going all in. Be grateful you got that. You won both trades. Doesn’t mean you’d win a third.

Owen Power?

Jeannott was an overpay, Ekholm wasn't. A late 1st and a prospect taken 32nd isn't an overpay for a top pairing D.

Still, nobody is moving Power for a goalie period.

Neither have won a playoff round since 2017. Tomlin dealt with his franchise qb combing for 3 tds and the last 3 playoff wins. However tomlin was to adapt and will play younger players even when they struggle
& set a Record of being the 1st HC to give up 40+ points 3 times at Home playoff game
