They should of signed Raanta....

He's a bit underrated i think and it wouldn't have cost that much cap or term........Saw him play some really good games in the playoffs...Seems to be a good pressure goalie.....

Dubas is a great GM but man he has no idea about goaltending. Just a complete amateur when it comes to handling this part of his team.

I don't see Tristan Jarry ever winning a playoff series.

Which is pair for the course from a GM who barely has a playoff series win himself.

No idea why people were so high on Kyle Dubas.

Dubas:

“Goaltending is our top priority”

Re-signs his current goalie to his highest ever AAV and term & gives him a 12 team NTC every year.

I guess he wasn’t lying.

Pretty meh. He really went away from his philosophy of going cheap on goaltending, but its not like Tristan Jarry is a very good goalie.

I would rather have tried to revived Matt Murray's career as our #1 goalie on a cheap contract since he got us 2 cups than freakin Jarry who will never be good enough or healthy enough to win a playoff series.

Really don't get the need to commit to Jarry like this. Combined with the Graves signing, a lot of cap space locked up for a long time...to really not move the needle for you.

I think Jarry is definitely above average.

The problem is health and the commitment on this contract.

Campbell last 4 years: 133 games, .906 save%
Jarry last 4 years: 177 games, .915 save%

Jarry is massively better than Campbell. It's not even close.
Jack just had a horrible season that obviously brought his numbers way down and that's why there is a big difference in those sv percentages. Before this last season their numbers probably looked a lot closer. Doesn't change what I said considering I said he was better but jarry wilts under pressure just the same and now you're tied to a guy for five seasons who cant stay healthy if his life depended on it.
