I'd prefer Vilardi over Dach, all things considered.Dubois and a 50% retained Hellebuyck would be a fun, little blockbuster…
PS: I think Chevy is just grinding out the best deal possible. Will Montreal come into play? Will Hughes finally offer up Dach to get the francophone hero to Montreal?
I really like the idea of getting Iafallo in the deal too. Seems like Copp 2.0 from what I've read today, maybe a bit better offensivelyI'd prefer Vilardi over Dach, all things considered.
MTL are not gonna overpay that awful offer if true and if only for PLD is coming back.Dubois and a 50% retained Hellebuyck would be a fun, little blockbuster…

How come it's common for the Kings to be in these drawn out nightmare trade scenarios? Does LA's front office just love to edge their fans?
Um, you finished what? 6th last? No!
We're perfectly fine. Thanks.

Better offensively than Copp might be a little optimistic, but I'll be happy to be proven wrong. I'm a fan of Iafallo though.I really like the idea of getting Iafallo in the deal too. Seems like Copp 2.0 from what I've read today, maybe a bit better offensively

That's not "perfectly fine"
Iafallo is a 40 point winger signed at 4m, if that is considered a main piece in a Dubois trade, WPG is losing that trade, especially if the other main piece is Gabe “can t play a full season for the past 7 years„ Vilardi. I hope for WPG that a 1st is coming with that package, else they re getting fleeced.Better offensively than Copp might be a little optimistic, but I'll be happy to be proven wrong. Sure. Let’s ignore the fact that they’re a rebuilding team that had roughly 750 man games lost to injury and literally only had one player who played every game. Like he said. We’re fine without the great French saviourUm, you finished what? 6th last?

You can't tack Weber and Price into your man games lost. They're not coming back.Sure. Weber was traded last summerYou can't tack Weber and Price into your man games lost. They're not coming back.
Fair enough, that was an assumption I made while I could have easily just looked it up. That's on me.Weber was traded last summer
Everyone's taking on risk here. If Vilardi can stay healthy, it might be a steal for the Jets. If he can't, then maybe LA made the right call on selling high. If Dubois is actually a lazy sack of shit who clearly has injury issues of his own, Jets made the right call. Time will tell, there's no sense in declaring a winner right now. More than anything I think Jets' fans are just excited to get it done with and move on with the pieces we get back.Iafallo is a 40 point winger signed at 4m, if that is considered a main piece in a Dubois trade, WPG is losing that trade, especially if the other main piece is Gabe “can t play a full season for the past 7 years„ Vilardi. Even if Dubois has a reputation for lazyness or whatever, he is at least a 60 point 2C that can play wing if need be. I don t see a world where a guy who has been injured every single year since his draft year starts to play full seasons at 25 years old… or anotehr where the difference between a 3LW and a 2C is a guy who will play 40 games a season even if he scores 30 points…Everyone's taking on risk here. The fact that it's been a day or more and none of the major outlets have picked this up is telling.after the TDL shenanigans, i would’ve thought Pagnotta would be relegated to “unreliable sources” section or tag alongside Eklund
To be clear, I'm a big PLD fan. There are flags with him, there are flags with Vilardi, everybody's trying to get out ahead and we don't know how it will turn out in the end. I'm happy to get Vilardi back if that comes to pass, if it doesn't pan out, fine, I just want this situation to be done.Even if Dubois has a reputation for lazyness or whatever, he is at least a 60 point 2C that can play wing if need be. As a Habs fan, I also want it to be done. Silly how many pages about Dubois have been written already…To be clear, I'm a big PLD fan.
