From what I could tell, he first laughed and said he hadn't been paying attention to the Coyotes' playoff aspirations. Then he said they'd have to wait and see how the series (I guess playoff series?) play out. And then he said the best strategy so far has been to not comment.

No guarantee that I correctly understood any of that though!

Which was followed by "what are the plans now?" and PKP said "we have....no umm I guess we'll see how it turns out during the playoffs, I know it isn't fun to hear for the fans and the media but we have to remain quiet."

If there's one thing certain about this saga....it's that no one knows when this will truly end.

I do hope there is a resolution soon enough, just so that the franchise can finally plan for the future appropriately and not worry about where they will be playing next year.

While the question seemed to be a surprise it's obvious his answer was there ready for that eventuality. It was what we call, the old cassette being played. Tho his face spoke a completely different story.

Said from what he's hearing theres a better chance that the team will be playing in Phoenix next year rather than relocation. Said there's 4 groups looking (mentioned Pastor & LeBlanc) but ofcourse didn't really get into any details about why we should expect them to be able to close. I assume he toucehd base with league sources and that's the line they're currently using.

Basically good news for Quebec/Seattle. We all know that when NHL gets their sources saying the team X stays in place, the complete opposite happens only few days later.
