Yogi Berra is a veritable font of thread titles ...

"It's like deja vu all over again."
"It ain't over 'til it's over."
"We made too many wrong mistakes."
"You can observe a lot by watching."
"The future ain't what it used to be."
"If the people don't want to come out to the ballpark, nobody's going to stop them."
"If you don't know where you are going, you will wind up somewhere else."
"I didn't really say everything I said."
"Nobody goes there anymore; it’s too crowded."
"Half the lies they tell me aren't true."
"It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future."

What the hell is even going on with this right now. Does Pastor even hint at being a guy they're looking into, or is he just another guy they're using to buy time until they can announce relocation?

I think he's just another tire kicker being used by the league to prop up the illusion that the Coyotes are a highly sought after commodity. The reason I'm rooting for the Coyotes to lose (and as of the looks of it by tonight they will be all but eliminated from the postseason) is that I finally want Bettman to be truthful about has really been going on these last 4 years as opposed to blowing smoke up our butts.

I don't think they're trying to prop them up as a sought after commodity at all. If they were they would've been sold by now, even the more stupid millionaires could see that.

I think they're trying to prop them up to show courts that they tried their best when Glendale inevitably takes them to litigation.

So the playoffs are going to be out of the conversation with the loss tonight! Pastor and Gosbee, are no different than the past tire kickers, they came, looked an left! Goodness to think that any of these supposedly astute business fellows would even take a glance at this debacle is surprising. Then again, GB could not care less who it is or what they are as long as they have enough to buy a used car! Just give me more time to deceive the fans and the COG so that i can move this team to Quebec or contract it before the PHX mob comes to lynch me!

I'm starting to think probably not, but like everyone else, I'm just guessing. But with Coyotes losing tonight and it looking like no playoffs, you've got to wonder if the cost to the 29 owners will get them grumbling a little more for a move. Figuring north of a million bucks in revenue for each home playoff game, the 'Yotes made up something like $7 or 8 million against their losses in their playoff run last year, and even their first-round exits the previous two years salvaged 2 or 3 million or more. Now the owners have to look at no relief at all from their regular-season losses, and no reason to believe this'll be a team making deep playoff runs in the future. At what point to you get sick of sharing the red ink, and start the rumblings to get your asset sold to a stronger hockey market?

I had thought that Glendale had waived their rights for future litigation years ago in BK.:help:

It won't last the week either the relocation leaks start coming and we blast 1000 before Sunday. Or we blast 1000 before Sunday asking. "What the hell is Bettman waiting for?"

Did they? Hmm... Wasn't aware of that.

During the Moyes BK Judge Baum made a point of reminding Glendale in no uncertain terms that in backing the NHL's bid to purchase the team, they were indeed signing away their rights to pursue litigation & relief through the courts in the future. Thereafter, in 2011, they signed yet another document, the AMUL, which effectively gives the NHL the right to renew its management & tenancy of the building for 10yrs upon its own discretion & invocation on an annual basis, and in fact the AMUL can be & could have been transferred to an incoming owner by the league. There are no penalties for leaving, none for lack of performance, nothing. It would take a very sharp practicing team of attorneys to try & make anything stick to the NHL here, the odd's of success pretty much nil, likely would even be heard, killed upon filing & a quick review.

Wings take it 4 to bagel.

Yotes margin of error is down to virtually zero now.

I'm not even sure it's possible...

Yotes would have to win out. Minnesota would have to lose out. Detroit would have to lose out. Dallas could only afford one win. And they play Detroit and Columbus.

0.04% chances now

It's crazy impossible, really. The only way for them to make the playoffs is a specific, single path of the other teams losing and winning in the right places and the Yotes winning all remaining games and squeaking miraculously trough.

For exemple, if Minnesota wins tomorrow, it's game over for the Yotes!

Heres a snowy owl.

The Owls are not what they seem.
Twin Peaks

Theres an Owl at my window. Its been there for hours.

The Fourth Kind

Owls my dear QC are in actuality used as Surveillance Drones by Aliens... the small Grey's from just beyond the Andromeda Galaxy.... bringing us full circle & back to Arizona. Very strange things going on, mystical place. The Bradshaw Ranch just outside of Sedona; the "Phoenix Lights" back in 96 at about the same time the Coyotes arrived. A delta winged craft near on 5-8 miles wide silently passing over & then hovering above the city at about 1200' for hours. Seen by 10's of 1000's including the then Governor of the State. Photographed, filmed. Luke AFB scrambling jets; full lockdown.
