so, I guess the other team is always allowed to fall down after one of our guys commits a penalty, but the Canes players always have to remain on their feet. Way to be, NHL.

I never said the defense wasn't at fault for causing the 2 on 1. But Faulk (I think) had the pass all the way. The goalie always takes the shooter and Cam wasn't square to the shooter. He was cheating for no reason.

Goalies always have to shade towards the pass a little. They take the shooter, yes, but they can't take them 100%, because the defender isn't ever 100% on the pass. They have to leave themselves room to have at least a small chance if a pass gets through- and passes do the through even good defensemen regularly. If you have a really great shot on a 2 on 1, you're going to have more room to shoot at than you would in many circumstances. That's just the reality of it.

Well, might as well write this one off. We're down by 2 now, and the refs are making an attempt to be "fair" and make up for the fact that the Yotes have been undisciplined.

As soon as Ward went in I knew in the back of my mind that the game was over. This guy truly sucks now. What happened?

If you're going to call the dive, fine. If you're not going to call the CLEAR hook on Murphy to not give Carolina a 4 on 3 they didn't "earn", fine. But when you make THAT call to give Phoenix a 4 on 3? Come on.

I'm not going to debate the degree to which he cheated and why. Faulk had the pass all the way and it was Cam's job to stop the shot. He didn't and was cheating in the process.

Is Ward really the guy to blame for this game? Your whole team is playing like they have no clue what to do out there.

Hopefully you'll get back into the game now on the PP, though!
