Name a better player against the Penguins. You can't.

He played so well in the first two periods, enough to allow this team to wake up and tie it in the third. Then he continued to give them that chance after it became 3-2 by making a ridiculous series of saves.

He's faced the harder competition, faced much more shots and gotten jack in terms of goal support.

You do realize that in order for Ward to win the games he's played in, he'd have needed a SV% in the upper .960s? When the team only scores 2 goals (or less) and gives up 36 shots, that leaves a mighty small margin of error.

Like I said, Ward apologists are just as bad.

Eric "Stick Check" Staal......

I hate him

My favourite part of his game is when he's lazily back checking through centre ice and he starts one handed slashing a guy from behind.

Cam totally gave that one up.

It's a 2 on 1. Offensive player gets a clean shot, and the goalie can't commit fully as fully to the shot as he might in another circumstance.

There's a reason you're expected to score on the majority of 2 on 1 breaks you get. Don't blame the goalie, blame our defense being out to lunch.

This goes double for any goal allowed by Cam Ward.

I never said the defense wasn't at fault for causing the 2 on 1. But Faulk (I think) had the pass all the way. The goalie always takes the shooter and Cam wasn't square to the shooter. He was cheating for no reason.
