This team lacks the clinical finishing ability. That was the problem against Tampa last year and it shows in this game, too. Everything else is there. All top guys need to be better at that department.

They missed both Necas and Niederreiter, but they still steamrolled Phlyers most of the game, but could not make a goal. This was a meaningless regular season game, but it painfully reminded about the Tampa Bay series last year. The guys need to be sharper at their scoring chances or fine-tune the system to get better chances occasionally, if they want to win it all. This team has all the talent to be Stanley cup champions. In my opinion the only area that is lacking is the goal scoring.

Out worked us for the first half of the third. Seems like they deserved it to me.

Even with the crap start to the third period, we win this game 9 times out of 10. It’s frustrating, but encouraging in the bigger picture.

Most of the guys all wish they could have a play or two back tonight. But ultimately Hart stood on his head basically the whole game and then was benefitted by Teuvo hitting the post late. I am just as pissed about it all but tonight was just the disappointing side of hockey.
