Nah, there's literally no such thing as a Presidents Trophy curse. You're either good enough to win a Cup or you're not.

Win all the hardware you can while you can.
Respectfully disagree. Curses are phor real. We’re not going to be the next Caps or Canucks

Don’t want us anywhere near that Pres trophy. Guess we have to drop a few to accomplish that

I'm going to disagree here. The home ice advantage guaranteed throughout the playoffs is absolutely worth it.

We've still got a lot of season left though

Missed the 3rd, was hoping they'd do a bunch of scoring when I was gone (which is what usually happens). "Hot goalie" gonna be our excuse tonight? Again? 1 for 40, haven't scored more than 2 but once the past 5 games. Gotta find our scoring touch again somehow, it's not all puck luck, it's that being a half-step, half-second, half-inch off that can be all the difference and that's where we've been living recently.

Home ice doesn’t mean squat. Caps fans will cry in their beer telling us that. Good teams don’t lose all their road games (except the Pres Trophy Canucks in 2012)

Agree to disagree then.
I’ll say this, if we win the Pres and the Cup we’ll celebrate that in agreement. My point is I don’t want to get wrapped around the axel on regular season success and then suck ass in the playoffs. I digress though, that’s a long way off.

Let’s beat the Bloes tomorrow night.

You missed the 3rd, so your commentary is understandable, but it really was puck luck in the 3rd. There was one sequence where we hit the post, it bounced off the back of Carter, off a Flyers defenseman, and Trocheck (I believe) shot it back into the defenseman instead of a gaping net. And then another sequence where Jarvis had a cross-ice pass to KK, whose shot Giroux hit in mid-air to prevent a goal. And then TT had 2-3 near-miss chances tonight alone.

Pretty sure Aho hit a post in the 3rd, and maybe Svech too (might have been the 2nd). Just an unfortunate night.

On 3 separate occasions while short handed a Canes player was in alone on Hart and couldn't finish. No goals no glory is about all I can say to those players.

At the same time, we came out so flat in the 3rd that we earned the loss. You can't mail in significant portions of a period like that, especially in divisional play.

Nothing to get overly worked up about. We’ve been dragging ass lately and it caught up again with us, Florida game being a complete missed start. It’s gonna happen and I think the boys will come out sharp tomorrow

Agreed, but late in the third while shorthanded players made the plays to get the puck to man in on goal alone. Twice in the same power play and while 2 men down earlier players couldn't handle the pressure with the " game on their stick ".

I see what you're saying. I guess in my case, the hot start is great but this division is such a gauntlet that a loss to a team like the Flyers feels worse than it should.

But yeah, hopefully regroup tomorrow and kick ass
