Just wondering what theyd be worth at those values. I know ellis just signed but the deal might look sour with him reinjuring his groin. Seems to be injury prone but stilll a good dman when he can play. Does philly try to do a quick rebuild with hart and co while still young.

We're unlikely to be able to move Ellis with his injury season.

Giroux with 50% retained will see a pretty penny.

Jones has given himself a modicum of value with a respectable season. I'd want us to re-sign him if anything.

1) 1st rounder +
2) Probably nothing right now. Too injured.
3) Maybe a 3rd/4th

Will someone please take Risto from us to save Fletcher from re-signing this guy

I'd see what value (if any) Ristolainen has.

Braun could return a 3rd on a good day.

See if anyone at all needs a JVR, maybe $2m retained next season.

Waive Brassard and Yandle.

Give Giroux a chance to win somewhere and get a first and a prospect while you're at it.

Clean out the front office entirely and build a new coaching staff.

Trade Konecny and Provorov for a bundle of futures at the draft while they still have perceived value.

Bring back Giroux and sign Gaudreau for some reason.

Hope for the best.

Unless giroux takes a big discount i dont think theyll be able to afford gaudreau and giroux.

Burn it down.

Giroux at 50% for a 1st + prospect.
Couturier for a 1st and top prospect or young top 6 forward.
Hayes for a mid round pick.
JvR with $3m retained for a 2nd/3rd.
Atkinson for a late 1st or early 2nd.
Lindblom for a mid rounder.
Braun for a 2nd/3rd.
Jones for a mid rounder.

Nope.

We can do better on individual deals probably - and there's no reason to sell Ellis this low. Once he's back, the value goes up immediately.

I mean they could afford a whole bunch of shit if they traded Provorov, Konecny, Risto, Giroux at the deadline, and JVR. They'd have literally $30+ million in cap space to do whatever with.

It's an EA Franchise mode post. There would be no point in signing Gaudreau if you were doing all that other stuff. But cap space would not be the obstacle.

I think you keep Konecny and Provorov, doesnt make sense to deal the rebuilds dont take that long and they are both young, havent even hit their primes. But agree trade the rest.

I can see it now... trading Giroux for a first round pick, then selecting a promising prospect who never develops to their full potential.
Happens with many late 1sts.
Thats why you ask for Leason type prospect on top

There is no way to project the value of Giroux as he has a NTC that would have to be waived. That would suggest that he controls where he is traded and that almost always drives the price down. My feeling is that only Washington, Boston and NYR have a shot at Giroux.

As for Mantha, there is no sign of his approach.

The Flyers have traded the Caps a late first round pick at the draft for a young NHL defenseman and a draft pick that added up to nothing. The Caps used the pick on...
