Even at 50% retention JVR won’t get us a late 1st this year.

If they wait until next season then the likes of Arizona will need to take on cap and could be a 3rd party for retaining. JVR with 50% Flyers then 50% Yotes would put his salary at $1.75m for the year, which would be attractive for cap-strapped competitors.

Giroux - 1st + 2nd + blue chip prospect

JVR - late first

Braun - late 2nd, early 3rd

Risto - please some dumb GM offer us a first. Pleaseeee

We could rebuild in a single offseason. Unfortunately it won't happen with Fletcher.

interesting values here, I have something similar for some players but not for others.

Giroux (retained) - first round pick and a b level prospect (a teams 3rd or 4th best prospect)

Braun - 2nd rounder

Ristolainen - definitely think a team will give up a first for him

Sakic needs to make a bold move to push the Avs over the top. TB just got Kucherov back, Pens got Malkin back, Vegas getting Eichel soon.

Giroux (50% retained) and Braun (50% retained)

for

Compher (for cap purposes), Olausson (2021 1st rounder), Kaut (2018 1st rounder), and conditional picks on how far the Avs go in the playoffs or if Giroux re-signs.

Let me ask a serious question here.

Why would any team in the NHL want Martin Jones? He is terrible, Jimmy Howard at the end of his career, terrible.

Well, he has actually played well for us this season. No longer a #1 but a solid backup who gave them a chance to win every game he played. Calm and steady. Much better than anticipated tbh.

Pens can take Giroux for a chance to see your player win. Could be a good duo in third line with big man Jeff Carter

Gabe Vilardi would at least be a start in trying to replace Giroux if they were to go that route.

Young, BIG, right shot C/RW'er.

But if the Flyers are actually shopping Provorov I'd imagine LA would be the team most interested with the best pieces.
