That’s a pretty rough list. None of them are getting in next year & frankly Hamels might be the only one that has an argument at any point.
Next year will be a great opportunity for guys late in their ballot cycle to pick up votes, they’re gonna look like Babe Ruth against that list. Even as a Big Hall guy, you have Hamels and maybe Braun?
I don’t know with Braun. Not necessarily sure his resume would be strong enough even without the PED’s.

Cole Hamels is my namesake on this website and I don’t see him anywhere near the HOF. I’ll be shocked if he gets in.
Hamels is considered a maybe too. Even among the Big Hall people. It all depends on how you want to handle modern SPs. He’s below the traditional line, but the game has changed. If you’re a Felix or Buehrle voter or you would vote for Johan Santana, you should probably vote for Hamels. If not, I understand both ways.
The most interesting litmus for me is DeGrom, when that time comes. It'll define this era of arm injuries and HOF votesIf Hamels doesn’t get in, they’re going to induct 0 Pitchers between Sabathia and Greinke/Verlander/Kershaw/Scherzer with no one else on the horizon afterward except Cole if he ages well. It’s an interesting litmus test.

Every time one of these gets posted, I grow more concerned about him finding his way to the stadium for games. Luckily we have GPS.
What if I told you (what you already know) that Topps sold the card (owned by Fanatics), Fanatics/Topps were the first ones to report that the card was redeemed (reasonable since they are after all the ones that own it), and then you have the whole PSA 10 thing with the card being graded in like a day. The whole thing just reeks.I probably have 15+ auction house accounts and I didn't even know that existed.
Of course they want their hands in this, but I'm not going to blame the people involved because all of this is so malleable. Every AH says their cut is non-negotiable and they're all full of it. I hope whoever is advising the kid got him the best deal. I'd sell it privately and never mention a word, but since he went public, it had better be 0% out of the Seller's Fee and a low BP. Absolutely maximum of 10%. From doing a little reading, it looks like they're partnered with Sotheby's, which is worrisome. If it's their NYC rates, it's 27% up until 1 mil and then 22% until something like 8 or 10 mil.
The 10 Grade is the funniest part of this to me. They're already bullshit, but this is the maximum level of irrelevant possible.

They say that all proceeds will be donated to a LA Fire Relief fund. Probably juiced their cut there to make themselves look better too and play on the sellers good will.
