First instinct was right. Caba is a big chip. Guess they don’t think he can hit.Caba and Boyd.

Matt Gelb said:In addition to Luzardo, league sources said the Phillies will receive Paul McIntosh, a 27-year-old minor-league catcher, from the Marlins.
Guess it depends what side of Caissie you fall on. Pretty divisive prospect.Feels a little weird given that the rumored Cubs centerpiece was Triantos or Caissie?
WheelerI will say that this pretty clearly marks the end of Walker. That guy is OUTTA HERE
Oh noesWheeler
Sanchez
Nola
Luzardo and then Painter when Luzardo gets hurt again
Ranger
feels like 2011.
Is Suarez bat bait? I vote a very light no, because of Luzardo's injury history. But you can't help but thinkWheeler

NoBuy low on Luis Robert Jr before someone else does.
Ranger's arm isn't the issue, it was his back last year. Try doing anything with a sore back, let alone pitching. I'd bet he's a pretty safe bounce back candidate this season.Trade Ranger for a hitter now. His arm might be cooked anyway.

I don't think his first half of the season is his norm btw. I think his baseline is an effective if not all star caliber pitcher
You sure?
Yeah there's a chance going into his walk year. Or they could use him in the first half and if/when Painter is ready, Ranger becomes a trade chip at the deadline if he performs. Is Suarez bat bait? I vote a very light no, because of Luzardo's injury history. But you can't help but think
MVP runner up season incoming.Yes, they can have him

Not sure how to feel. On the surface it’s fine; a win now type of move and it gives us one of the strongest rotations in baseball. I wouldn’t be against trading Ranger for a hitter depending on who the hitter is.
To go against the grain and be a cup half full guy, the bottom half of the lineup was like historically bad. It would be hard to match that collective of ineptitude again. Still, I’d want a shakeup in the bottom half of the lineup
