Wasn’t there some little league world series player who caused a sensation like 25 years ago and it turned out he was like 15 or 16 dominating 11 and 12 year olds? Lol

He was 14 playing against 12 year olds. This kid was 17 playing against 12 year olds a couple years ago. I was a senior in high school when I was 17 and now this has got me thinking what kind of damage I could have done against little leaguers.

I wonder if this 17 year old was physically not very developed? I remember the Phillies had a pitching prospect who was like 140 pounds or something in low-A.

Harper is a below average RF and is becoming an above average fielding 1B.
And he's likely to stay healthier at 1B.
But let's screw it up to do what?

Turner is more complicated, he hasn't lost much speed, but he's average at best at SS and will start to lose range in a year or two.
Stott is a golden glove caliber 2B but average at SS.
Sosa isn't the answer, and at 29 I'd use him as trade bait this winter.

The guys to watch are Miller, who is still at SS (eventually will have to move to 3B) and maybe a year away and Caba, who is an elite fielding SS but 2-3 years away. The wildcard is Rincon, who is also a top fielder, and has a chance to be a hitter but is also years away.

One of these situations where you don't try to fix it, just let your prospects marinate and make a move when they show they're ready. But it's not a big enough problem right now that it should be something you want to mess with.
