The NL pennant winners literally did the same thing last year. Started hot, limped into the playoffs, barely got in and got hot again. Not saying people should be optimistic but it’s baseball. Just gotta hope you hit the wave at the right time.

So did the Rangers. They started 40-20 and finished 50-52 and got into the playoffs second last day of the season. They had a 4-16 stretch in August and September. They also had a 8 game winning and losing streak in August.
