Everyone turning into a pumpkin at once. Including Long and toPpEr

Hahahahahahahahahahaha

I can't wait for this Marlins series. I can't wait for everyone on the field and in the dugout to stumble into 3 braindead losses and really drive reality home
That very well could happen....or they could sweep the fish. Welcome to a 162 game season...where theres gonna be ups and downs.
Who is taking small sample sizes here and projecting a few months out?

How this team is performing now isn’t something that just came out of nowhere. It’s been there for months in different facets.

The trade deadline isn’t a boogeyman.
Theyre a flawed team for sure and obviously have some underachievers...but cmon. Despite all of that theyre comfortably in the wildcard race with a favorable schedule ahead of them. Not to mention they won the NL last year...youd think thatd buy them some confidence in the fanbase.

But wahh they played like shit on a weekend in july and im mad so they suck!

The fan base recognizes that for the most part what happened last year was a fluke. They’re comfortably in the wild card race because it’s designed for more teams to be involved in that race. Although, I’ll give you that they sweep a series they can be the 1WC so it’s not 100% the formats doing quite yet.

Confidence is earned, not given out freely.

No one here is mad that they “played like shit for a weekend,” it’s been much longer than that. From my vantage point it looks more like “team played good for a few weeks in October last year so they can do no wrong.”

If you want to put your head in the sand and act like we’re all saying this team sucks and is the worst team in the league, go right ahead, but pointing out that this team is majorly flawed and has been for some time isn’t unjustified.

They've won 2 series since the all star break. Since when is going 7-9 over 2 weeks a bad weekend?

The narrative among countless fans has inexplicably assumed them in the playoffs. It's madness. The stars aligned last year when we saw a few guys in a thin bullpen turn lights out, 3 starters turn in 2 good starts each, Harper hit .450, and the rest of the offense click at once and hit like 15 homers.

The stars don't align every year. No one should feel comfortable with this team

I'd be shocked if they didn't make the playoffs, but if there was ever a coming to Jesus moment, it would be this series in Miami.

I didn't see the beginning of the game last night so I was unaware of the no-hitter that was broken up by Topper, but the fact that Stott wasn't playing and the rest of the managerial blunders was enough to make that game so incredibly frustrating. Finding out later that there was a no-hitter going when Sanchez was yanked was the poop icing no the puke cake.

whats with players getting super hyped up about hitting a single

um..has that one landed yet?

insert rant about auto-merge here

They said Walker only threw 4 fastballs in the first and topped out at 90mph, his fastball average is 94
