Doubtful. RF would be there to grab the bounce off the wall. I'm still not wishing him a good morning though. My night was absolute shit from hour 1 to hour 10.5, and it's pretty clear that this team introduced that juju when I walked in. Once again good morning to everyone except the Phillies.
I'll take my chance with Acuna making that throw. He was actually in position this time though 😂. Good to morning to Aaron Nola. They need him.

Plenty of stupid stuff to criticize in that game, but it does take a special kind of stupid to leave in a pitcher that has just given up 2-3 and a walk 3rd time through the order and who has shown these last 2 post seasons that he becomes very hitable once he goes past 80 pitches (somewhere around that). I don't care that he still struck out Ozuna. That was already playing with fire. Unforgivable...

The move to leave Wheeler in was stupidest.
At which point? TDA has hit Wheeler well in his career. So I think that was a bit silly but nothing egregious. I definitely would have left him start the 7th but they had relievers up. Thus game highlights how much they miss Seranthony from last year. The 2022 playoff version has a decent chance of getting 5 outs to end the game or they bring him in the 7th to face TDA.

The consequences of leaving him in directly impacted the energy of the game and lead to not only the 2 run homerun but also everything after.

When the score was 4-3 I thought they were screwed. But when Harper walked in the 9th I had hope, because leadoff walks always score. Except that time..

But when would have you pulled him?

He already looked a bit shaky in the 6th. I'm okay with him starting the 7th, but with a super short leash. Then that Matt Olson hit to open the 7th looked way too easy. And that point the Braves have gone 2-3 with one walk 3rd time through the order. That's when you pull him. I couldn't believe my eyes when he stayed in. I thought this was a big blunder even before the 2-run homer.

The vibes are in tatters.

I didnt find the pitching\BP decision egregious, the game felt lost to me when they had runners on and failed to convert the game to 5 or 6 nothing mid way through the game. Just knew it would bite them.

The bats cooling after jumping to the lead was the biggest issue. Lots of early count pop ups

Love when the mix politics and sports.

It's going to be 65 degrees at first pitch tomorrow and 62 by 6PM....it was a good season boys
I looked it up, it 69 degrees at first pitch last year. Huge Nola skeptic but he's going to pitch well. Also think they are going to score a bunch of Elder.

I'm starting to get over it.

If there's one thing this team is used to and knows how to put behind them quickly, it's painful losses. All season long, the majority of their losses seem to have come this way. At least in the 2nd half of the season anyway. How many times did we say "that's the worst loss of the season" only for them to come back and win the next one?

I believe in these guys.

Difference is, their manager probably won't leave Elder in long enough for the Phillies to get a big enough of a lead

The good news is that Atlanta doesn't know how to shut the f*** up and now we've been granted some great motivation

Gotta be the most unlikeable team/fanbase combination in all of baseball right now.

Hope they pin this to the bulletin board, feed off of our crowd, and f***ing demolish them on Wednesday.
