Is getting stung by a wasp 4 days after getting 4 stitches in the face good luck? Does this mean we are winning the World Series? Asking for me.
I got stung by one over the weekend and my arm this morning is finally not swollen like a balloon. And in that span all of my teams won, so.... yeah, I'd say it was a good sign.

Well, if wasps are bringing us luck then things may change soon. I haven't been stung but it turns out I have a nest in the wall of my bedroom closet. I've been on a wasp killing spree for at least a week, I finally called a pest control company and they came out and found the location nest and took (hopefully) remedial action. I've only found one in the house today so I think the crisis may be subsiding.

Never to fear. I have a small swarm of hornets that buzz around my porch light at night. I thought they might be juvenile cicada killers because they are big, but not quite that big. After a little research I've concluded they are European hornets. Scary looking, but not aggressive. So now when one occasionally makes it inside when I'm letting a dog or cat in or out, I just coax it onto the flyswatter, and toss it back outside. The juju is balanced.

Whew! I honestly don't like killing them but when you wake up in the morning and there are 3 or 4 buzzing around the bed emotion takes over.

Haha yep! Years ago I was laying on the couch watching TV with my girlfriend at the time. She see a spider on the ceiling in a corner and tells me to kill it. I say no, spiders are good and blah blah. 20 minutes later I turn my head and said spider is dangling a few inches above my face. He got smashed.

Spider outside my house on the porch or deck: Live your best life bud, maybe its one less fly that gets into mine.
Spider inside my house: You have chosen death.

I’m fine with wasps but I always gain a lot of animosity towards crickets this time of year. I find them ugly and I’ll turn my house upside to find one keeping me awake. A couple weeks ago I was outside in my bushes at 3am spraying shit and swinging a rake to try and get rid of one outside my window ruining my night. Spider crickets freak me out even more. Ugly SOB’s and I swear they try to jump at you

Spiders are fine in the house as long as they stay on the ground. Once they're above shoulder level they're fair game.

My first apartment would get overrun by ants for a couple of weeks in the spring. We had one "spider-bro" who stayed in the corner right by the front door and he must have killed hundreds of ants - best roommate I ever had.

Messaged the lady who bought my tickets for tonight saying she may be in the Stott picture.

She responds saying that during the game a ball was tossed out and the guy sitting in front of them caught it and I guess gave it to her son so they took a picture together just thinking it was some random guy.

It was Sean Couturier.

Watching the Flyers broadcast and they just mentioned this story!

I have decided the answer is to throw Sanchez game 1. Throw the guy the Braves don't known and pray. The only path to winning is splitting or better the first 2 games
I think what they should do, is start either Ranger and Sanchez and basically only allow whoever starts to face about 9-10 batters or so (unless they somehow have an offensive explosion against Strider). Then after that turn it in a bullpen game. They have an off day Sunday. All of this is predicated though on whomever starts doesnt get bombed .

It's not a bad plan. I'm horrified either way

Yeah I am with this. I would go with Ranger Game 1 and have Lorenzen on the roster instead of Walker. Let Ranger go 3ish inning depending on how things are going then switch the righty and go with him for 3ish innings depending on how things are going then go to the 7-9 guys. obviously like you said, this only works if the starter doesn't get shelled. Braves are pretty heavily RH'd, I think Olson is the only lefty and maybe 1-2 other guys are switch hitters? Just try to get through the lineup once, maybe get Olson up twice then get a righty in there.

I suspect the Phillies will have a decent showing. A guy in the building where I work is flying down tomorrow for the game. He said he got tix for like $100.

Taijuan still has 3 years left so I suspect that is why he made it over Lorenzen though I would have the same. Ideally Taijuan is in the Gibson role (never pitching unless it is a blowout either way). This is one of the best lineups in baseball history. Winning this series would monumental.

My sister is actually going too. She lives in Atlanta and she was at game 1 last year as well. Said ticket were $150, not sure where she is sitting though.

Im thinking about going to Minute maid on Sunday. Tickets arent really that much.

Not announced yet, but i guess with Strider as Fried had some injury in September and missed few games. But he was pitching some simulation game this week.
