Brandon Marsh has the 2nd highest career BABIP in baseball history. Only trailing Tom McCreery who played 9 seasons in the late 1800s and early 1900s and just ahead of the legendary Ty Cobb.

1)Tom McCreery .390
2)Brandon Marsh .385
3)Ty Cobb .378

I think 332 games is still in 'small sample size' territory, but some guys just their physical attributes and hitting style lends itself to higher BABIP 'luck' I suppose.

I wonder if it has to do with his launch angle? I'd be interested to see if there is a coorelation between high BABIP and launch angle.

The Yankees/Diamondbacks game has already been postponed, as have the Nationals/Braves. The Phillies should too soon. Doubt they will though.

Glad Seranthony didnt implode last night, watching most of this bullpen is not fun though and hasnt been these past 5 weeks or so.

If you’re not a fly ball hitter and you’re fast you’ll probably have a pretty good BABIP.

Yeah it makes sense to me. Also, just looked it up and he has the 3rd highest average exit velocity on the Phillies behind only Kyle and Bryce and 61st best in the Major...but only a 12.2 average launch angle. Perfect recipe for high BABIP.

Both Seranthony and Alvarado had huge strikeouts in the last 2 games. Just hoping that gets them to trust their stuff more, especially Seranthony. His fastball is only really effective working off of his off-speed stuff.

Is that Tom "Milkman" McCreery?

Leave it to this team to strand a go-ahead run on 3rd with no outs.

Sosa, Rojas, Castro...like..just show a tiny bit of discipline, get a pitch to hit, and make contact. Rojas inparticular needs to work on discipline and when to be aggressive and when to not.
