Some people definitely whine.

Thomson is too loyal, almost as bad as Manuel.
I dont remember Charlie being this lenient with pitchers. He left Nola in too long again and might have cost them the game. Plus he keeps letting Cave bat. Total clown. They miss Snell and Yu so no reason they cant win 2/3 in San Diego. 2-4 would be better than 1-5 west coast trip a year ago at this time.

So glad that Jake Cave exists.

He was infamously patient with Lidge in 2009.

Hamels started Game 2 versus the Rockies in 2009
Cole was better than Nola this year and Pedro started game 2 and 3 against the Dodgers and Yankees. i think it was because Colorado was at home and wanted Cole to pitch at home. He had to pitch on the road in LA cause Lee pitched game 4.

Hamels and Lidge were both so burned out in 2009. I was mad at them at the time because it cost us a 2nd ring, but in hindsight I get it.

With Hoskins stepping up his rehab to try and get back in October, i'm assuming it's a longshot but they will want him to DH if anything.

Will Harper be ready to be everyday 1st base?

Depends who you ask.

Some people will tell you “he’s Bryce freakin’ Harper, of course he can play every day” and others will be a little more cautious because we haven’t seen it.

In the unlikely event that he'd be ready to face MLB pitching by October, he'd be a great bench bat/DH against lefties.
