According to the Washington Post, Strasburg has struggled with mundane tasks, such as lifting his young daughters or opening a door with his right hand because of severe nerve damage.

Dang that's a bummer. I got to see his first start in Harrisburg AA. Several hour rain delay and then he pitched like 1-2 innings and they called the game.

So you're saying he's a difference maker as manager? That's difficult to argue.
The players on the 80 team all credit Rose, the player, for making them a winner. The guy is a total arsehole, but was the difference in making that 80 team champs.

Man CJ Wilson, that was another in a long line of terrible contracts the Angels have handed out in the last decade or so.
Was that contract bad? Seems like it was okay. Not great, but not terrible

Uh, okay. Carlton and Schmidt had career years, but they're great before and after 1980. So, the Rose effect is intangible to me

Not even in Franchise his

Not even for his team. Pete Rose bringing the first championship in Franchise history has to be number one.

Dr J?
Tim Kerr?
Malcom Jenkins?
Rose was supporting cast on that Phillies team. He was past his prime (still pretty good though) but Schmidt, Carlton, Bowa, Maddox, they were the stars.
