My kick at the can from a Habs perspective would be.I think it will be Provy for a center and a 1st and a prospect.
Dvorak, Calgary's 1st and LHD prospect Jayden Struble.

Provy next to doughty is so gross I'm glad they are in the other conference.
Byfield or turcotte would be the target along with a first the middle piece is where I can't make the deal make sense.

Would love Provy in Detroit, What are the Flyers needs? A Provy-Seider pairing would be pretty sweet.Sanheim-Ellis
York-Ristolainen
Zamula-Attard
Hogberg
Bye bye Provy

That is an easy no for me. I need a young center (Turcotte or Vilardi...not sure where they are with their development and where they project) plus someone like Durzi. Not sure if that value lines up, but something like that.As a Kings fan I wonder if the Flyers are really rebuilding this time or are they trying to pull a quick rebuild?
I don’t see the Kings breaking up the kids line so Vilardi might be off the table but would this move the needle?
Iafallo + Durzi + Fagemo for Provorov?
Prospect value wise it’s tough, Vilardi is just now starting to show out after years of back injuries and Turcotte is out with a concussion and his development has been slowed by injuries.. so not sure how the FO would value them in a deal right.. Durzi would likely improve your PP and is a young PMD..That is an easy no for me. LAK can definitely make something work around Turcotte + 1st + prospect. What kind of prospect would move the needle? Any positional needs?I would think it would have to be turcotte with a 1st and a prospect and another pick or prospect. The price went up this deadline.
The flyers are pretty set at LW and LD.
If that's what you're expecting all you are doing is setting yourself up for disappointment.I think it will be Provy for a center and a 1st and a prospect.
I have really fallen off from knowing prospects. The needs would be RHD and Center. For the most part, the other positions aren’t bad now and for the future. Center really stands out to me to need high end youth though.LAK can definitely make something work around Turcotte + 1st + prospect. What kind of prospect would move the needle? Why? That’s not a large ask. I think he is still under contract for 3 more years after this. He is a top pair. I think he would re-sign in a place like LA. Chiarot just got a large return. I think it could work all the way around. If that's what you're expecting all you are doing is setting yourself up for disappointment.

The Flyers don't need to trade him, but if they do, they should definitely be looking at something like Turcotte, Durzi, and a pick. If I'm trading Provorov, I'm not bringing back (much) salary.Oilers 1st + Broberg + Barrie for Cap reason for Provorov and Philly likes tough players so we can throw Kassian in if you like .
Almost certainly.Boy, Schmuck is gonna screw this up, isn't he?

I think Veleno and Hronek would be more intersting to philly. To a lesser extent they may see some value in Gustav Lindstrom.Always liked Sanheim, would love him on the Wings. If Fletcher wants to retool instead of tear it down and rebuild, would something around Bertuzzi+ work?
Other teams also need to comply with the salary cap. I doubt you'd be able to move Provorov for a significant return without taking salary back. His contract is fine, but not exactly a steal. The Flyers don't need to trade him, but if they do, they should definitely be looking at something like Turcotte, Durzi, and a pick. Don't think the Eichel trade is a relevant comparisonThe trade would happen in the offseason. Whoever the Flyers would trade Provorov to would need to figure out a way to make their own cap work. If they'd like to dump salary back to the Flyers, it would cost extra. For example, when Vegas traded for Eichel, they sent Tuch, Krebs, and a 1st. No cap casualty back to Buffalo.

Don't think I need to explain the difference between Eichel and Provorov. Also, the fact that Vegas didn't get salary relief has created huge problems for them. How so? Both had heftier salaries, both drafted the same year, both in the top 10. Sure, Eichel is a better player. That's why he returned more than what has been talked about here as a return for Provorov. But there was no retention or salary relief on Eichel, so I wouldn't expect there to be on Provorov (unless the other team is paying extra for it).
