I though Shaw was a slight upgrade over Dale Weise. So far it's been a downgrade. At least Dale Weise was skating and creating things. Shaw is ... just wearing a jersey. Top 5 most awful players of this team after 12 games.

we should maybe trade Pacioretty while the getting is good he is not a good choice as captain and yea he will bring points but too soft now

I agree but it might be a season to late. No heart.

for the record my dad called it with Pacioretty 3 seasons ago - he is like Nostradamus of Pacioretty or something. I told him he was crazy to want to get rid of Pacioretty

Your dad and I are psychic twins because I've wanted him packaged with his BFF for the last 3 years....

I think those lines have been clicking decently well overall. Obviously the Plekanec one isn't where it needs to be at the moment but those are 3 vets who've been historically pretty regular production wise. Logically they should figure it out by themselves soon enough. I would be confident leaving things like that for now. We have to find ways to shoot more though cause that just won't cut it.

Pacioretty is like that guy that goes to work, takes 5-6 coffee breaks and looks at his watches all day waiting for his shift to be done and go back home.

Not true, in most offices the coffee machine is in the corner of the room.

And to think Chicago fans were/are (still) in love with him. Maybe Montreal should trade him back to Chicago? :sarcasm:

Shaw + Plekanec for Toews :snide:
(You know that Chicago is probably deeply regretting having signed a 10.5m deal for Toews who's not been his old self in a few years & is becoming the worst deal in the NHL. That cap $ could help them re-sign Panarin & get their golden boy, Shaw, back (and expose Plekanec at the end of the year, just because)! Also, they can acquire Shipachyov in the off-season, with Plekanec off the books.

Then again, why acquire Toews in Montreal? We'll have a legitimate 1C for once, lol.

Danault moved into an offensive role. Interesting.

It is quite interesting. I really think though it would have been more interesting if they swapped him with Desharnais. It makes more sense and I think it would work out better.
