It is quite interesting. I really think though it would have been more interesting if they swapped him with Desharnais. It makes more sense and I think it would work out better.

Stuffs that "make sense" come with a ~10 games delay with Therrien, the guy is the dial-up of coaching.

Is there anyone else the Habs can bring in to coach the defense instead of JJD? I'm tired of watching the Habs defense running around like a chicken with it's head cut off and no clue what to do. Not to mention the defense playing as soft as you can get for the most part.

It's so easy to suppress Pacioretty. Be physical against him and he's gone. Add the fact that he doesn't have a #1 centerman to feed him the puck and you've got a worthless line against physical teams.

He was so physical once then a few factors turned him into the simp we see today: suspended for hitting Letang in the middle of the ice (an unfair 3 game one for an accidental hit to the head when way worse checks got a slap on the wrist), several injuries from getting into the traffic areas and of course the Chara near-death experience. Seems he'd rather preserve his body for a long NHL career but he'll just become another Ryder if so- good for 25-35 goals but not much else in the intangibles field.
