Yeah we need to kick the chair on their playoff hopes friday.

:yo: I keep watching the highlights and shaking my head in disbelief of how well NJ played. NJ has won 3 of 4 now, hopefully putting the losing streak behind? I should go read the Flyers GDT just to read reactions. muahahaha

I'm having way too much fun reading the Flyers GDT. It boils down to "Fire/trade everyone, Devils stupid trap is ruining hockey". I'm not joking. Flyer fans STILL THINK NJ PLAYS TRAP.

I don't want to be an ass but it's not that long ago the consensus seemed to be we can't win without Fayne, and DeBoer was an idiot for keeping Moose playing.

I guess I'm an ass but wth.

I don't think anyone said that we couldn't win without Fayne, just that it's ridiculous that he - or Larsson, has to be benched because of the D merry-go-round when Fayne was arguably our best d-man last year. This D actually seems to work well together though and Harrold's been too good to take out of the lineup.

If I were Fayne though, I'd say you guys (the organization) can do what it wants this year, but if I'm not in your plans next year then trade me. On a two-year deal it'd be bad if the guy is a periodic healthy scratch in his walk year.

I'm glad Moose has turned it around for the moment, but let's be honest, the guy was walking a tightrope for about a week. Last Tuesday was bad enough, another bad one would have sent the crowd into pure lynch mode. Not to mention I wouldn't have wanted him playing seven games in eleven days even when it was ideal. He literally hadn't started ten straight games since his rookie year (2000) and now he's doing it in a compressed season.

No lie, I was reflexively waiting for Chico's 'Woohoo!' when Doc called the highlight of Lokti's goal

Yes wait for the team to come out of the stretch and win a few and say that Moose is stellar now. Good stuff

Also I don't consider that knee on knee with an intent to hurt at all. It is a stupid ass penalty but I see that sort of play every time I play, albeit at much slower speeds.

U play with guys who intentionally go after opposing players knees?

Eff that.

Carter is in the wrong here, if that were the other way, and it was against a guy like Patty dudes would be flipping.

Watch from 0.20. That is not trying to kick the puck.

Yes that slo mo shows it better than real speed, but I will say most people that are trying to really take out a knee usually plant weight on it or else they can end up doing the same damage to their own knee. Carter kicked his leg out which is why I saw it as a trip. These are the top search returns for NHL Kneeing and they show what I'm talking about.

I liked them all, but I'm going with Loki's because of those moves.

Man I was one of the people who said cutdown on Kovy's shorthanded ice time.
Part of me would still like to see it cut a little bit. However there's nothing that beats seeing Kovy skating up that ice shorthanded on a breakaway!

Call me crazy, but I'd prob cut down on his 5 on 5 time. He needs to be out there on PP, and he's super dangerous on the PK.

And Lokti all day on prettiest goal.

not sure if this was mentioned, but clearly the team took deboer's direction to SHOOT MORE to heart. and what a difference it made...

kneeing i could care less about. it was rinaldo, who flopped around all night. **** him. i dont like to see dirty plays, but if rinaldo's leg had come flying off detached, i wouldve stolen it and made it into a leg lamp a la A Christmas Story.

Kovy really didn't need to be out there both third period PP's up 5-1 but that's nitpicking.

Deboer was sending Lavi a message. If you goon it up, we'll embarrass you

Then why did they just pass it around the side the majority of those PP's? The only real good chance I remember was when Harrold was so wide open Kovy had to pass it to him in the slot.

The Flyers' defense is horrible. Gervais and Foster are absolutely brutal. Hard to fathom Adirondack not having someone more capable.

Flyers fan in peace. And no Adirondack is even worse. Manning and Laurdisen have regressed horribly, Gustaffson is a train wreck half the time, and that's about all that's worth mentioning. Our best defense prospect is at Union.
