Berube said he would "sleep on it" before choosing between Mason or Emery for Tues. vs LA. #Flyers

Is throwing this GIF in the GDT good luck or bad luck? Because I think it can become a classic, myself!

Thanks again for doing the GDTs this season Ron. Much appreciated by all of us!

You are welcome! It's been fun, so far.

...so far, not bad in terms of time. About 30 minutes to get it up right...getting news on the Kopitar injury has been impossible. The U.S. Government should use the NHL and their teams as a template for "Top Secret" protocols. It is really incredible how they are able to clamp down information on their injured players.

I think Berube is choosing his words carefully publically .Mason was pretty upset that he didnt' get the start vs the Redwings. Emery has been better and in as much as Berube wants to ride the hot hand in goal, Mason has confidence issues and I'm sure that's in the back of his head.

This from practice this morning:

Emery again first on ice for extra work w/Reese. When he does NOT start a game, he is always last on ice. First yesterday and today.

Kings spokesman said Kopitar and his upper body are on team plane to Philadelphia. Good to know they're still attached.

Anze Kopitar on trip with Kings ,.. Team is 'going to be careful too' so sounds like they will know more tomorrow -

The Kopitar info was per Sutter who also added that injury was ' nothing serious' - team being careful

Man Philly's d is decimated by injuries.
We have been hit hard all of a sudden. Think 2/3 of our top line could be out as well as a top 4 d-man.
I love our depth.

If we need to play a game shorthanded to activate some sort of emergency call up/ cap relief situation, wouldn't this be the one to do it?

Philly is an Eastern Conference team, that is weakened by their own injuries. It's also not the first game of a back to back so our tired team (playing short a man) will have time to recover before Thursday's game.

I say play with 11 forwards so we can call up Weal (or whomever) until Lewis/Gabby/Kopi are 100%. That way you'll have 12 forwards for the upcoming back to back games. That way you don't have to use LTIR and artificially prevent a player like Lewis or Gaborik from coming back at the earliest time.

Have to think Richards moves up if they're being careful with Kopitar. Unfortunately, that will put us in an emergency situation, which means we COULD call someone up after the game, but seems like it won't be necessary after this game (knock on wood).

I will not be able to see this one First time in a long time i will miss a game due to being out of town at game time However i expect us to win a close one with a huge game from richards and carter As always Go Kings Go

I remember the first game vs these guys post trade. Richards cranked Voracek, then set up the winning overtime goal on the pp with a believe a double clutch fake slapper pass to JMFJ for the redirect. Ahh memories.

If Rchards isn't motivated for this one then I wonder what gets him going

Gets him going???? Have you missed every game? He's been solid, active, hustling and putting up 16 min per game, providing everything Sutter has asked despite being shifted (and shafted) on 3 lines. What do you expect him to do with Nolan and Clifford?? If Sutter had left him on the 3rd line with Williams and given him some stability, his chances for producing points would have increased. He's done his job, Sutter's failed in his.
How about Stoll, with 0 points whose been given that 3rd line duty getting 'motiviated'? He's not done much so far to merit remaining there.
Most every player not named Carter, Pearson or TOffoli aren't putting up points either. WHy not call them out?
Stability isn't much to ask, it's a shame Sutter is blind to it.

In speaking w @LAKings,Kopitar was to have an MRI last night, revealed nothing serious per se,will travel w team, but Kings cautious.

That means, hopefully, nothing torn. Think maybe they rest him until the end of the week.

Jesus settle. Maybe in stead of Get him going I should have said if he is not fired up for this one there is a problem. If Stoll was up against a tea min which he was former captain of that ended poorly I would have said he should be fired up for that game too
