All the Eagles letting JuJu cook

Maybe "see him" next year. I would have been the dirtiest player in any sport. I always loved the Rick Mahorn, Esa Tikkanen, Bill Romanowskis of the world. Never played at a high level, but I hunted heads as a pitcher. Such a redarse. HATED to lose.

I'm slightly less competitive now lol.

I am actually kind of worried about personnel fit with the next DC. Howie basically built a roster around Gannon's scheme fits.

I don't remember it being as lopsidded pre-game, but the Eagles were 7 point underdogs in '05.

This was a coin flip game going into it, 10 point lead a halftime, questionable call in crunch time, the knees at the goal line to kick a chipshot FG with time expiring. This was definitely worse imo.

It's hard as hell to ignore the prejudice factor when Patricia could walk into a HC job but Bieniemy can't.
There's the Andy Reid factor, his DCs are doing it on their own, but does his OC do anything more than carry a clipboard?
Bieniemy may have to make a lateral transfer and show he can do it for a HC who isn't an offensive genius

My feeling on Gannon was he's somewhere between the gaudy but inflated stats and the letdown in the SB.
He's always struggled to stop good QBs b/c he depends on a QB eventually making a mistake, and the top QBs usually don't.
I mean you can't depend on Jones and Purdy as the QBs you have to beat to get to the SB. Though the NFC is kinda thin at QB right now. Cousins, Dak, Murray, Goff, Rodgers, Stafford, Fields, et al. Hurts is king of the mountain, or the tallest midget.

I think the right DC could make this a better playoff defense, even with lesser talent, by being more of a risk taker - with a great offense - a defense should feel free to be more aggressive. Might cost you in the regular season and steal a playoff game.

I also wonder if a more stable front seven might also be more consistent against the run, there are pluses and minuses switching back and forth between a 3-4, 4-3 and 5 man line. This is where a different DC could improve things or screw up - I think they have the personnel for a 4-3, do they have a 3-4 NT? Is Davis suited to that role or should he be used in a role where he can employ his raw athleticism?

1) JuJu is a f***ing moron, glad he's getting roasted by many.

2) I'm really starting to get irritated by the Mahomes lovefest going on all over the place. Every damn sports media personality is in a big-damn rush to anoint him the GOAT. And I expect him to stick up for his teammate, but even he has to realize what a horrendous call that was at the most crucial time of the game. The 2nd game in a row in which the officials effectively ended the game in favor of KC.

3) Bienemy really went back to that Week 4 game against Jacksonville where Jax exposed that Man-Motion aggression that Gannon had going on, and kept that one in the back-pocket. That's just one of many reasons why I'm NOT sad to see him go.

4) On the subject of coordinators, it seems like our QB Coach will get promoted to OC, but who's looking like the favorite to be our DC?

His tutelage went a long way on Sunday. Agreed
Didn't it come out that he helped w/ the offense and not the defense?

And even if he helped with the D, he can't make Gannon take his advice. Given his career as a DC against Gannon's (so far), I'd be more willing to give Fangio the benefit of the doubt that even if he provided pointers/advice to Gannon, that Gannon just didn't GAF.

Yes easily.

That next contract though will be enormous
Edit: read it as two firsts.
No way to fit another huge contract with the one Hurts will get. Cheap, good, players [aka 1st round picks] will be a key to filling the roster. 1st rd picks are also allow to be signed to an extra year on their rookie contract. They desperately need to hit on these 1st rounders this year

Best thing he's ever done in his whole life

OK, that's it, I think at this point JuJu's just got to dig a hole, jump in, and pull the dirt in on top of him.

There is a way because he, himself has the 5th year and three years left on his rookie deal. After that yes you’ll have to be diligent, but if you’re in the “Super Bowl” window, this is an easy yes to a ridiculous hypothetical.

I mean we are talking about probably the most impactful defensive player in the league on a rookie contract. That’s incredibly valuable. They are probably going to look for a front seven player at 10 this year and pray for a small fraction of the impact of Parsons.

Btw, still hate the Jordan Davis trade up.
