Shrug, you can't scheme that, IMO it's all on the CB to not blindly run into the change. The Cheifs deliberately both times ran the motion jet sweep on second down to run "corn dog" on the 3rd down. Both times, CBs just turned and ran to switch off the saftey to cover the motion.

It's such a timing play too...they snapped it right out of the WR reversal so he has a running head of steam.
I don't think blindly running into the change is the thing, because they ran it twice, and it burned both CBs. That tells me they did what they knew to do - did what they knew to be right not knowing it was wrong, because it's how they prepared. On a play they'd seen before and were beaten on before. And then KC ran it again. That's a dick move even when you're playing Madden much less playing in the actual Super Bowl. They had to be laughing that one up.

Just to put this in perspective. Think Bills 1990 losing to the NYG and Jeff Hostetler and "wide right". This is NOWHERE near that sinking failboat.

Mahomes is statistically like the best QB ever at his age.
Or think about the last time the game was played that stadium and the Seahwaks decided to throw a slant to the 5th wide receiver from the 1.

With the benefit of painful hindsight and a rewind button, holy shit did the defense play terribly. There were so many plays where it looks like TJ Edwards just couldn't make the play, but the reason he couldn't was that Jordan Davis and a Safety dove into the same A gap and it let a lineman climb out to get him. Some of that is Reid's scheme, of course. But some of it is just shit play too.

At least you got to see your team win at least ONCE in your lifetime. The Bills have been the Masters of Heartbreak. It was all downhill after Wide Right for like 20 years and today's kids may be haunted by 13 seconds being the team's peak in their generation.

When I see mentions of promoting a QB Coach to OC I get an eye twitch. Many folks feel that Ken Dorsey is encouraging Josh's worst tendencies while Daboll was, able to take the sugar away when needed. And DC Leslie Frazier is about as flexible and effective as a cigar store Indian.

So yeah, your complaints and fears for the Eagles right now are a little familiar to me. At least the Eagles aren't in the same damn conference as the new Golden Child or you might never even see a Super Bowl appearance.

I'm always rooting for the Bills (maybe thats not helping).

4 straight SBs is as epic as any achievement in the free agency period of the game.

KC has moved into F-U territory for me. Nowhere close to Cowboys, New Jersey Devils, Penguins land...but they are in the next tier now.

Micah Parsons is slowly becoming my favorite non-Eagle

It's hard as hell to ignore the prejudice factor when Patricia could walk into a HC job but Bieniemy can't.

The guy who just was torn up by the Chiefs just got a job (Gannon), meanwhile the co-pilot of the tearing (Bieniemy) can't get a HC job.

It's astounding. Did Eric B kill someone and we don't know it?

I’m pretty sure it’s been said that Bieniemy has interviewed terribly up to this point.

I’m not quite sure it’s a simple blanket reason for why he hasn’t been hired.

And I can't take "character issues" seriously as a reason because Urban Meyer was just handed a job a season ago.

Reid has all but campaigned for him to get a job. Has spent a long time saying "a ton of the stuff you think is me, is him."

Sure, but one had to expect a high scoring 2nd half, and they scored more. Expectation still was for a lot more pts. And the Chiefs had the ball to start the 3rd.
I HATE getting the ball first. defer is the way. I was not happy.

IMO we were on like the ~10 with 9 seconds left in the first. Deliberately let the clock go down to 4 and took the FG. I wanted one attempt at the end zone.

In hindsight, onside kick at 35-35. Even if they get the FG/TD, maybe we had more time. They got the TD anyway.
