Daniel Jones and Kyler Murray are the defenses and I’m the crazy one. Probably a sign something is wrong.

I’m not arguing whether they will. Quite frankly, I don’t care. It doesn’t interest me. I’m just speaking to whether they should.

I wouldn't have done / do it with guys like Kyler and Jones.
But I understand why they did and I can't blame them. Not having a QB is just rough. Look at the Jets or Commies.

The Hurts case is different. You just don't have an argument to not pay him after what he just did this season. Sure his supporting cast is completely stacked but he looked as good as anyone could hope for.

There is a decent chance that we will regret paying him the way Dallas regrets paying Dak pretty soon but there is just no realistic argument to be made right now for not paying Hurts.

I also will not bet against the guy anymore. I was also in the boat that thought we would most likely have to look at trading up for one of Young/Stroud this offseason but here we are in a superbowl that Jalen Hurts should have won if not for our garbage ass D and a few breaks not going our way. What else has he to prove before we pay him?

I felt like shit about this game for the past two weeks, it was only at half time did I think they were going to pull it off. It's the hope that kills you. I have no idea what the future holds, just two years ago this team was imploding left and right and had arena league caliber WRs. How this team was assembled since then and performed this year really is something to be proud of. It's absolutely sickening making it this far and losing, but it is what it is.

I felt GREAT about this game, until the Hurts fumble for a TD. I thought they would run better overall, but hurts did well there.

How are these two statements together? Am I losing my mind? Is this the offseason that finally breaks me?
Because there is just no freaking way you can justify not paying Hurts right now. Its that easy.

He looked like a MVP candidate this season, is not even 25 and should have won a SB tonight if not for the garbage ass D and a few unlucky breaks.

What else do you want from your QB? Trade for Mahomes or Burrow? Trade him for a completely unknown rookie that might be Zach Wilson 2.0? Good luck with that. Nobody is doing that in the real world.

There is IMO a decent chance that we will regret it similar to the Dak contract down the line (but also a very good chance that we won't if he keeps improving the way he has so far in his career). But there is just no chance that we won't pay him after what just happened.

I probably would pay him, but there certainly is an argument not to. You are over simplifying

The Bronco and Patriots are the only teams in recent in memory to lose a super bowl to come back and win it. Not counting the Chiefs tonight cause they won the year before they got Tompa'd.

I just don't think that there is an argument in the real world. Maybe on the internet or on message boards but how would Howie Roseman sell this to anyone else let alone the team?

What do you think will be the reaction if he trades Hurts and doesn't hit on his next QB (and the odds are certainly not in your favor that the next guy will be even close to as good as Hurts)?

So no there really is not an argument. After what just happened they will pay him. Lurie also already said as much. The only thing that could prevent that is if Hurts goes full Lamar but I don't see that.

There is universal hatred of that call

I hope the team stews on this all summer. I hope Kelce and Lane realize how much they were f***ed out of getting their shot and decide to keep going to stick it to the league.

At this point we should have the single biggest chip on our shoulder going into next season. f*** this league. f*** Goodell and f*** the refs.
