I like that draft and in terms of Jalen, again look at the NFc quarterbacks. They can potentially be in this spot again the next few years.
I'm kind of with you on this. Paying him top QB money creates roster problems.![]()
Sewell probably should be an OL, but I’m not there yet. Only allowed myself one trade. @Chinatown88
Sold on paying him or that he can be a good starter? Very different questions.
As I said earlier, we have no idea how that would have played out. Very well could have been like LII and they get a strip sack to effectively seal it.Perfectly said. It’s not like Kansas City’s defense deserved to win. We torched their ass all game long. At the very least they probably tie the game maybe even win with the time left and how jalen had played that game and if they didn’t, I think everyone would accept the loss. We were robbed of that chance.
Yep, likely our best chance to win in the near future. This stinks.
We had an offensive juggernaut tonight. That team couldn't stop us, and if Hurts gets his legit shot at the end, I am pretty sure we at least go to OT of not win at the end.If the takeaway from tonight is that you have to score 40+ anyways because you can't beat the likes of Mahomes (or Allen or Burrow for that matter) otherwise, it makes sense to invest heavily in the O-Line instead of adressing the holes that will appear in our D this offseason.
I disagree with the D not being to blame for tonight heavily but if Gannon sticks around, we might as well just go with loading up the O as much as we can.
That means I want one of the top tackles at #10 (probably Paris Johnson (he can play guard for a year or two, right?) ) I think.
The goal is a superbowl and if your D is not expected to stop Mahomes (or Brady 5 years earlier before BG came through to be fair) in the big game, why wouldn't you just try to build an offensive juggernaut around Hurts?

So with all the PFF I've been listening/watching cause it's what I turn on when I do cardio, the idea of flipping an asset for a better return on investment intrigues me and it always sounds like a great process. However, is it different with a QB on a rookie contract? I think you probably know which way I lean with Hurts but it's really a tricky puzzle to think through.I’m just not willing to commit the Kyler contract to that likelihood. Like I said, Lamar him. Winning with a QB on a 2nd contract is MUCH harder.
So quarterback factoryI’m just not willing to commit the Kyler contract to that likelihood. Like I said, Lamar him. Winning with a QB on a 2nd contract is MUCH harder.
It's just hard not to, because he's an outstanding "face of the franchise".So quarterback factory? i do tend to agree but they are paying him, you and I know that.
The QB factory was under Doug...maybe it's closed now due to budget cuts.So quarterback factory? i do tend to agree but they are paying him, you and I know that.
The only reason he only scored 31 is because he only had 8 possessions IIRC.I mean, PM only scored 31. The Fumble TD was killer.
I disagreed not taking one shot to the end zone at half instead of auto field goal with 9 left and no timeouts.
Missed opportunities, but our offense definitely did enough...if the defense had done their part a little more.
Welp...IMO...I don't think Stafford is the reason the Rams won vs Goff... It worked out for them, yes.I get what people are saying, but I don’t see how you look at the recent history of the league and think anything other than paying the guy who’s “good enough” is wrong. Did KC do that? Did the Rams do that? How did it work out for the Eagles?

31 points in 8 possessions is absurd. Especially considering that it would be 34 if not for the kicker missing a FG he should make.
The Chiefs average 2.76 points per possession which leads the league. So on average they would get 22 points out of 8 possessions against the average NFL team. Tonight they got 31 against our "great" defense that completely shit the bed.
The Eagles could have won it even despite the D having a historically bad game because Hurts and the O were balling tonight but had the D even shown up a little bit, this game shouldn't have been all that close even with the fumble and the ref.
The Rams did pay Goff. I get what you are mean, but I just dont see anyway he isnt signed.I get what people are saying, but I don’t see how you look at the recent history of the league and think anything other than paying the guy who’s “good enough” is wrong. Did KC do that? Did the Rams do that? How did it work out for the Eagles? Yes, it’s harder and more risky because your downside is huge. I’d be the first to admit it’s much easier to say it than do it. But that’s the path to the treadmill.

I just don't think you have a case anymore in regards to Hurts.I get what people are saying, but I don’t see how you look at the recent history of the league and think anything other than paying the guy who’s “good enough” is wrong.
